Billy Hall didnt harm anyone but himself. He destroyed his credibility by lying, getting caught, and then masquerading as another user to defend himself. Generally pathetic.

On the other hand the buyer, who was lied to about shipping, received parts not accurately described, and had the hassle of chasing down the pathetic Mr. Hall perhaps came out a bit ahead as he carried himself very well and earned the respect of many of the forum readers.

And Mr. TwoBad1, while you seek to simplify the issue and leverage the RJ name; there are really a couple of legal premises which supercede the term junk, and these are:

A seller is required to represent the item accurately, and
A seller is required to remit item via shipping in a timely manner.

Likewise responsibility to the buyer is to remit payment timely and per agreement.

If its junk, call it junk and ship it when the payment clears and you have no problem. Its when you misrepresent that you create legal issues.

Proliferance of the Internet, and Attorney General's who are more doggedly pursuing scam and ripoff artists will make times more difficult for the bad guys-its already happening. They are catching up.

You are definitely allowed to have an opinion. Sometimes its odd to see someone defend behavior thats not defensable (and lying and misrepresentation is not).

Though for you its tough because like your term "Smear and Run" the poster's hotrod6831535 and BBC598 did a "post and run", or perhaps a "post/edit/run". In any event because he chose to hide his responses you dont get the whole picture.

If you think its OK to sell junk and misrepresent it, then tell us why. If you think its ok to hold a man's money for weeks and not ship, defend it. If you believe its ok to lie to a man who's money you have, make the case. Everyone will listen as you have a voice and opinion and its America, youre allowed to share it.

And when its all said and done-set up a profile, so you dont get confused with anyone else.

Mopar, a justified reasonable assumption given the following; if you check the BH thread that Brian (Bjuice) vallidated had the following two users posting from the same Static IP; Hotrod6831535 and BBC 598. Both users were documented as Billy Hall, and both had different join dates:

BBC598 10/31/2008
Hotrod6831535 10/21/2005

So its quite reasonable given that members may have two logins kept for a while, that their point of origin can be whatever they choose as well.

So the flippant "get a map" response is just that a flip response to a reasonable assumption. Remembering that an assumption is just a reasonable guess and not a necessarily a fact.

BTW, Twobad1, I can't seem to pull up your Racespace profile-which I was refering to earlier. And while you claimed earlier that a profile was unnecessary,

then later relented and added a location (Annapolis) to your forum profile, why not dive all the way in and create a racespace profile?

Here's some free advice Twobad1; if your retirement is down about 25% as most are, look at stable value investments, and a bond index. Also if you have the opportunity-check out a russell 2000 index. Expect the recession to last about 2-3 years- this is a deflationary recession, and if it turns around quickly could become an inflationary one.
