need help ???

I have a 2001 MONTE CARLO SS , and the check engine light is on . The code read's there is a malfuntion in secondary air ! Nobody around here can tell me what this is . PLEASE I need some advise and help . THANKS Roger :?:

this sounds like the same problem your having,may be water in your secondary air pump,or a blown fuse,if you look on down the page in the link,there's a post that tells you what to look for,hope this helps

I had a 2000 ZR2 S10 with the 4.3L in it. Same thing happened. The air pump was in a area that would draw in water and cause problems in the pump. Had it replaced and GM even made a kit to put on to help solve the problem. It did not help. fter the 3rd pump, I put a peice of black tape over the check engine light.
