Wow... I knew Bush has been pretty lienient about illegals, but that is ridiculous. I voted twice for him too... what are you gonna do. I would like to believe that there is more to this one-sided story we read about. Why would he let this happen?? disgusting...

i agree Rigsby..there's got to be more then what the surface shows....but on another side of things..should a man do a life sentence for a drug charge such a CONSPIRACY to Posses with intent to distributute Mary jane ?...how many could go down for this from their teen years until now ?...what i mean by Life sentence is being a convicted felon the rest of your life. all rights stripped !...People make mistakes.

lets say if a person never had a record,And at 23 yrs old got stuck for mary jane conspiracy, served his time, paid fines, had no other problems and 15/18 yrs have passed.....This guy should not be considered for a pardon ?...come on......i think some folks need to look at the department of justice website to see when a presidential pardon can be granted under US law and this may answer some of the Questions that arrise out of this.

i dunno guys..the law says a felony is a felony and creates cvil disabilities for those charged..but i say there are different degree's of felonies..such as child molestation/Murder/Armed Robbery is a enitre different Felony then a 22 yr old popped for a Mary jane or Cocaine conspiracy 20 yrs back.....

but as it stands the much lesser of the evil get s life senetence also..unless a pardon is granted.

just my take on it

We have the greatest justice system on Earth. The proof is in the fact, that we imprison more of our fellow citizens, than any other nation on the planet. Unless, of course if you are a U.S. senator, who drives his jeep off a bridge and drowns a girl, in a drunken stupor. Then we don't do anything.

In reality, i'll bet that Bush never even heard of or knew the facts in these cases, it's all about the lobbiest in Washington. These felons find the best lobbiest they can and for a few bucks or a lot their name reaches the desk. Almost like a governer's pardon, if your family gave big donations to his campaign, there's a pretty good chance he'll do something for the donor.
It's just good old boy politics, and it will never end as long as we allow it to happen. Think about it if it weren't for the FBI sting in Il. you could have bought yourself a Senate seat.

A Senate seat is pretty small potatoes really, the Saudi's bought themselves a President.........eight years ago. Just my opinion.

I agree...I am in NO WAY saying DUI isn't a horrible crime..but a guy could screw up when he is in his early 20's and get a couple DUIs and he is a felon for life. Not everyone fails to learn from their screw ups...Before ya guys all jump on me I AM NOT trying to say that DUI AND POT AND SO ON isn't serious. OF COARSE it is. But some people do grow up and realize the seriousness of their choices and turn their life around...UNFORTUNATELY many don't.

I wasn't trying to jump on anyone here, Iwas just pointing out that justice is bought and paid for in this country, same as freedom. You steal a loaf of bread to feed your kids, and get caught, you do time in jail. You steal 50 billon dollars, and get caught, you get house arrest, in your luxury condo, and instead of showing up to court in chains, you show up in your limosine. That's American justice, true justice will be attained when, we get off our asses, and force the courts to treat everyone the same. If that offends anyone, IT SHOULD, it offends me.

Bjuice,

Thanks, I believe we're on the same page. It aint the constitution that I don't respect, It's the polecats, we seem to keep electing, that I can't stomach.

In reality, we are the people who are pee-ons that could make one wrong mistake and pay dearly... what matters to me is what God thinks. If he pardons me for my defects, sins & mistakes. I got into some pretty bad trouble when i was 18 & I have one nasty mark on my record that is now 20 years old. A simple fight & a loss of control of anger... nobody hurt bad, no real harm done but bloody noses & some pride. That day I had no idea that I would get a an Assault charge. Now it is optional to expunge, but I have never looked back. That monkey on my back could be heavy if I wanted to be, but i do not let it drag me down... God forgave me already.

Hey- I am off to Indianapolis for a Arcehry trade show & back on Monday the 12th so pray for me to get to & from safley if you think about it & i will see you all next week. Rigsby

Addendum; With Gw's time in office winding down I gotta say this even after my original rant in this thread.

He has really done all he could to take care of our fighting men and women who DO have a tremendous respect for George. Unlike Clinton who was despised by our military folks. Being President of the most economically and militarily powerful nation on earth is NOT for the faint of heart. ( Ya hear that Barry ?) When GW made a decision, he stuck with it and never waffled nor flipflopped. AND we have NOT had another major terror attack on his watch.
Thus, I still have lost that 95% respect for him on the multitude of other issues that just flat pisses me off and don't follow any logic A TALL, however that remaining 5% is so strong that I'd go into battle any time any where, under his orders.
God bless ya GW and Thank you for your contribution.

I am back now... great show for Bowtech Archery. In this "crippled economy" we had the best show EVER selling almost double the product over LY. Either compound bows are recession proof, or the economy is not quite as bad as they say (media)...

I am with you double-d... under GW's watch, we have not seen another attack on our country. At the same time, I do not understand some of the choices he makes... seems like I do not have the knowledge to know better. Anyways, good to be back home... I hate traveling. Hope things have been good for you guys. Rigsby

Even though it's winter as all heck here and 50 degrees below cold.
I'm going through the planning of next seasons events. So far for Miss DD I'm starting with the Boise Roadster Show in March, then the Nevada Open Road Challenge in May, and the salt at B'ville in August. The ANIMAL will see 2 to 3 pavement hill climbs and several auto crosses in '09.
And to top the whole durn picture I've met the gal of my dreams 3 weeks ago. Serious stuff going on there :D :D :D :D :D She wants to be driving race cars !! YAOWZA !!

you know i also thought the senator got away with murder but after
there was an investigative report on what happened, i think it
was a terrible accident, i know, but the evidence was clear.
and i also think the 2 border agents should have been excused,
but the BIG problem is they tried to hid what happened and said
they never discharged their weapons, when they did, that drug
lord was scum. but all i know i would not let drug dealers have
a pardon, i sure there are more who deserve a pardon than
scum, JMO

Hill-Dummy,

When you quote me, do it right. Look at the post... if "God" is mentioned, you must capitalize his name (It's called giving "respect"). Anyways, on a serious note, watch using Gods name in vain... I reccomend this to no one. Rigsby

GW makes a wise decision at the VERY last minute, the two should have been at the TOP of the list.........

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D95QC5OO0&show_article=1

God Bless these guys for doing that tough job and Bless their FAMILIES for hanging in there WITH their men. AMERICANS gave TONS of support for the men and their families. That's what true AMERICANS do for those who do the right thing.
