I posted some Pictures of the World Records set by my dad with this car. CHECK IT OUT!

One very important feature to this Mustang is that it comes with a VIN#7R02S144---. I will give the last three numbers when we have a deal. This Mustang can be registered and titled to drive on the street. After checking the Marti's report, turns out that this car was a 390 Ford GTA Fastback. The title alone is worth 5-8K.
I have raised the price for the Title and VIN number that goes with the car.

I think that answers your question on price. However, 1 person is not going to get you disabled here. There is always more then 1 side of a story. I will ask him to reply here.

I think that is a very detailed discription and from what I can tell, is a purpose built race car. He never claimed to have a cert on the car. Did you ask him to get one? Not every race car has anti-roll. This having a diagnol link sounds like a swingarm and would not require an anti-roll on the car. Lets see if he will reply.

First of all Mike,
We did not have a verbal agreement on this car. However we had been in negotiations to take your 89" Mustang on trade and 11,000 cash plus cost to deliver the car. Bottom line is that I told you that I would think about it on Saturday night. Sunday I emailed a counter offer and you decided to and I quote "THANKS BUT NO THANKS" Then you decided to go nutty with allegations that are harmful to my reputation and are completely out of line. You stupefy me with your ad that claimed that the car was not even my dad's car. It's even more amazing to me that you were so excited about this car and made comments about how nice and professional the car looks and you would be honored to finish this car like my dad would have wanted. Your compliments over the course of 6 days was apparently directed to me in order to soften me up on the deal you construed in your mind.
My Mustang has been proved to you and all the readers out there that it is exactly what I have represented and more!
You are confused about the chassis X brace in this car. It has been built to current legal NHRA SPEC. The car does not require a sway bar as you call it to go 7.50 per NHRA rules and I never told you that I had a tag. In fact I told you the opposite. My reasoning was to wait until the car was powder coated and then have the tag put on the cage.
I had your ad removed because you are and were completly out of line. Have you even read the terms and conditions for this site?????

In fact I had your second ad removed this morning as you changed your story after I posted the pictures of the World Records my Dad set with the car called RAWHIDE.
I have been honest with you and every person that I have dealt with using this site. I have sold two motors recently and I can assure you that both Mike Dimech and Phillip Prescott will give me a possitve report if needed.
It's funny how things happen for a reason in life. Your scandalous behavor has made me rethink what I'm doing with My Dad's Mustang.
I need to keep the car and finish it according to what I believe he would have wanted and that is what I will do!
To everyone who cares or reads this; You have my side of the story and I will never deal with Mike again. However I can't wait to meet you someday at a race track and settle this dispute on the track.

your car will not cert.7.50 unless your guy thats certs the car is your buddy and dont care but I will put my life that here division 1 will NOT CERT. As for the antiroll bar I said nothing about that being NHRA rule Its just shows that the car was built in 98 when most people did not even know what a anti-roll bar was and any real racer that goes fast that is on the build list if the car is going to make real power!!!!!!

With the 2 chassis builders listed, if they are telling me I have a 7.50 car come cert time, then I am going to have a 7.50 cert. I am not sure if Soran is doing a lot any more but if memory serves right, he was a known builder among Comp eliminator cars. Besides, I would think Wurtz would step up and get that cert for you to make the deal if you had asked.

You sure were not concerned about it until he decided not to take your offer. Sounds more like you are upset because the guy pissed in your wheaties rather then the facts on the car.

Oh and do me one more favor, please call Racetech, Undercover, Ricky Adkins, M&M and the other top builders in the country and tell them since they don'y put anit-roll on their race cars that they are just street cars. When you figure out what a diagnal link, K-link, X link and swingarm is, then come here and talk chassis.

Ok Fast guy, did I say that the diagnol link was for stopping body roll? No. I pointed out to you that your original claim was no anti-roll it is not a race car but a pro steet car. The diagnol link is more solid in keeping the rear from moving. As for the term diagnol link, it is used by many builders to describe their swingarm design.

Now to get back to the toipic you seem to be detracting from... you continue to prove that Wurtz was not the jackass in all this. It is you that keeps posting your replies of ramblings of facts that did not stop you from trying to make the deal. Again, you keep showing that it is the fact he sent you away that made you come in here and post. If you had gone to see the car, looked it over and could prove it's false descriptions, then you have every right to post a topic saying the ad is misleading. Well, I think we just have a "cultural" difference indeed. You see, where I come from, people will nod thier head at you & say "hello". I have been to NY myself & I am not jealous... it is a fine place though... I am proud to have NY as a part of our history.

I have been building race cars full time since 1985. I have known the history of this mustang since 1978. Dairld took ownership of the car when his dad passed away. In 1998 he decided to gut the car and upgrade. It has 2x3 frame rails and a complete 4130 cage, 4 link rear with 40 spline moser axles and a complete moser center section. The housing is fully braced and should be very capable of handling pretty high horsepower loads, the car also has Morrison struts. It has a very nice welded in firewall and floorpan with steel wheeltubs. Although it has been worked on at two different shops the workmanship is very good and this car would be a great race car. Mike, you as well as anybody, should know what it costs to build these cars and even if the car requires 500.00 bucks worth of work to bring it to 25.4 spec it is a bargain at 25,000 let alone any less.

I have been building race cars full time since 1985. I have known the history of this mustang since 1978. Dairld took ownership of the car when his dad passed away. In 1998 he decided to gut the car and upgrade. It has 2x3 frame rails and a complete 4130 cage, 4 link rear with 40 spline moser axles and a complete moser center section. The housing is fully braced and should be very capable of handling pretty high horsepower loads, the car also has Morrison struts. It has a very nice welded in firewall and floorpan with steel wheeltubs. Although it has been worked on at two different shops the workmanship is very good and this car would be a great race car. Mike, you as well as anybody, should know what it costs to build these cars and even if the car requires 500.00 bucks worth of work to bring it to 25.4 spec it is a bargain at 25,000 let alone any less.

I did not have a problem having bars added to the car at all and had no problem making the deal as we agreed on and dont know of any real chassis shops willing to weld tubes in and update a car for $500.00 but have no problem having it done at my cost and adding the anti-roll bar that a 2x3 car would need to leave hard and not drag the right rear on the ground doing so.
The problem is Dairld backing out on a verbal deal on sunday when he found out and thinks the vin# on the car is worth big dollars to pull more money.
read my first post its simple I said to bring your chassis guy and do cash and carry as you can not trust Dairld but his little buddys want to ride me thats fine I can handle this sh_t.

Mike insists there was a deal made and that the seller changed between Sat. night to Sun. morning. I think Mike and everybody else could agree this got a little out of hand right? I am not taking any sides in this because I do not know either guy and I don't know forsure what happened bewtween the two. However, Mike did seem like a very reasonable guy that just felt he was done wrong on a made deal. As I said in one of my earlier posts on this subject---if a deal is made, stick to it. If a seller or buyer agrees on a deal--follow through on your word. I got burned on a deal two weeks ago like this---deal made and the guy backed out with some b.s. excuse. That gets old real fast!!! i been Reading all this and have no comment for either party on their deal that never happened.

But i will say is that a Anti-Roll DOESN'T qualify of dis-qualify a car as a topsportman car. the anti-roll is just an added feature to a suspension.

Your top notch chassis tuners will tell you this..all the tuning come into play with the chassi set up (4 link). the same with wheelie bars..many people set them up off-set compensating for the launch,chassi roll or whatever you want to call it...i spent many hours with Alan Pittman who will tell you real quick he sets them even and tunes the 4 link..he has also un-hooked many Anti-roll bars after getting the chassis dialed in with the 4 link.

i know its a little off subject but its a direct tie in with the anti roll thing...its neither here not there.

i will also say one more thing. there are many problems that arrise out of the chassis certification thing. I Personally wouldn't make any claims or warranties to what a chassis wiould tag if it wasn't tagged already,rules change too much if anything.

Well you found him. (7.87 @174mph pro street carmaro) put a few hundred street miles on it this past summer. Ran it about 35 passes. None of this matters i just want to say i looked for 2 years straight for the perfect Pro Street and quick car. made about 12 wasted trips to all different states finding nothing but the oposite from what i was told from people on the phone. I dont want to drag out this long story but after seeing a car Mike had for sale ON EBAY i contacted him. After a few phone conversations i started asking all the details before i wasted another trip. My wife and 8mth daughter made another trip. I was very happy after seeing the car and meeting Mike in person. I bought this car from Mike almost 2 years ago. I truley bought this car from him not because i loved the car but.........Mike was a guy i never met before. A truly nice and considerate gentleman. Not a scumbag a number of you make him out to be. ( it is a easy deal when there is NO B.S. involved in anyway at all) I felt like i trusted his words 100%. The PROBLEM here with the mustang deal is the guy pissed Mike off by greed like he said and not honoring the verbal deal. I know Mike very well now and glad to have him as a true friend. I asked him to write down every detail before i purchased the car from him. Since i have had this car for 2 years there is NOT ONE thing Mike misinformed me on or left out. My intitution was correct. (a true honest guy) I would buy anything from him again. Mike has given me (a stranger to him) 100's of hours of his time and knowledge for free. Even mailed me extra parts he had at his expense for free, and im not talking about cheap shit either. He even insisted on driving to the track the first few times i ran the camaro to make sure i was safe and comfortable. Never asked for a dime.
If Mike said there was a verbal deal i would bet the ranch it was the truth. Once again im not a big mouth or one for getting into other peoples issuses as you can see i have never said a word this whole time but it finally got me pissed off with some of you guys turning this whole thing around.
Fact is: again Mike got the short end of a deal. He just didnt want anyone else to go for a B.S. ride, and yes he gets alitte pissed off when you make him look like the bad guy when his is just out there helping other car nuts not to go down the wrong road like he did. Would'nt you? Anyone who pulls out of any type of verbal deal is a srumbag but............thats the world we live in now.
P.S. I bought that car from him running 8.30's. With his help and his chassis builders help we are currently running 7.87 with more left in it for this coming season. So yes he does know how to run and tune cars. To make a street driven car go in the 7's easy you must know something. Thanks once again for all your time and professional help Mike.

I can't find your other topic, but if I remember correctly, not everyone bashed you about the heads. I believe myself and other told you to make sure you know what you were selling to avoid the problems. Then the issue was your behavior from that point on. It was not your issue but how you handled yourself. I think that is the biggest point with Mike. I for one would sit down, drink a beer and discuss chassis with Mike anytime but I did not agree with him or the way he began to act. I think Mike realized it when you notice some of his post. Most of the time, as was your case on the heads, it is not the issue but how it is handled. You handled yourself fine and kept to the point on the tranny issue.

Well i see topsportsman and his buddies are back to their everyday bashing of people. Dont worrie mike these guys do this to everybody.They have no life and just like to argue and be mean to people.
