My older Cousin who served in the Army & Retired as a body & paint man got diabetes from the lack filtration in the old days (he is about 60). The dialisis quit working after 15 years. Called him & he has 10 days to live... has the hospice at his home now. In a matter of days, he will slip into a Coma & pass on. I have never had to talk to a friend that has 10 days or less to live... knowing it would be my last phone call him. That was hard!! Damn, I could barely keep it together the whole time. He's got three kids & a wife too. Told him that I would miss him & that we will see each other on the other side. Really makes me think about life... my priorities, what really matters. Anyways, thanks for letting me metion this great guy Larry Towne & I thought it would be appropriate to post this since he served our country. Say a prayer for him if you have time.

Gentlemen thank you all... prayers are the best thing we can ask for.

Larry passed away last Sunday night...

As hard as it was, I am damn glad I called him Thursday & said goodbye.

Haven't been around here much cause' things have been a little tough lately... but I sure appreciate the prayers.

I am sorry to hear about your uncle Mopar! Having gone through a simialr senario myself, my advice is to make sure you get to spend some time with him. my Cousin & I talked alot about God before he died... I think that helped us both. I hope your Uncle makes it longer, the Doctors always give such GRIM forecasts... anyways, I will pray for him & for your family.

Uncles,...the unsung heros....
I lost my uncle 2 months ago, more of a father than the old man was, heart attack and went fast. Didn't call him as often as I should have.
Enjoy those close to you as often as possible, gang....let 'em know you really appreciate them often. Honor their lives and memories by being the best person you can be and teaching the 'youngers' the same.
