i would say 110purple to be safe..but i have seen 110 (purple) and 93 pump mixed run fine on a 12:1...its not for me thou

i personally would not go not lower than 110 purple...

for cruising i used to run avgas but add a can of marvel oil because the avgas is so dry.

If you are running aluminum heads, E85!!!! Runs cooler and is a whopping $2.09 at the pump.

10 percent ethenol gasoline in milwaukee wi where im near is 1.99 a gallon.the good 93 octane pure gasoline is about 2.40.....e85 may be fine for some.but hard to find everywhere...

if you decide to run that realize you will want to send it in to a good carb shop and have them set it up for ethenol.at least do loooooots of research if you mod your own carb.also might want to also re evaluate rest of your fuel delivery system- do your homework!

ive heard alcohol is harder on metal than gas is,so ive heard,dunno...supposed to be more caustic, corrosive or however you want to describe breaking down of metal...maybe wives tale,dunno....

e85 would be your best choice it will make better power and your engine will run cooler. the best part of it all is its cheep. now you will use more of the e85 then gasoline. your best bet it to get your self a good holley carb perferably a hp series call quickfuel they sell a complete kit its about 250.00. it comes with floats metering blocks air bleeds and needle and seats. call them give them your combo they will be able to get the jets within a 2-3 either way just talkin to you on the phone. they are very good.
