I just upgraded from rear drum to strange disk brakes. I replaced the stock master with a wilwood unit reccomended by wilwood .. I have spent alot of tiime being sure the system is bled well. Strange reccomends 600- 700 psi to rear and 1000 to 1100 front i have the rears set at 650 adjusted by proprtioning valve.
I notice the pedal seems "softer" ..i have no passes on this new setup yet.. The pedal with the drums and stock master cyl was a "firmer"
Will the pedal change after i use the brakes a few passes???

thanks
Keith

A few questions here,

1. did you bleed the master cyl also ?

2. Do you have a residual valve on it ?

3. Did you bleed both sides of the caliper ?

Yes i did bleed the master... with the lines hooked up and fed back to front and rear sump of the master.
I do not have a residual valve... but i do have a proportioning valve. With the rear pressure set per strange 650psi
As far as the bleeding... i was up on the lift in the car pumping the pedal.. so i better ask my buddy if he did both.

thanks for the responses
