i have a 350sbc std bore and storke
stock bottom end with 9.3:1 pistons
hydraulic flatt tappet cam with .488 lift 234 duration at .050 and 292 advertised duration
462 double hump heads 1.94/1.50 valves(mild port work)
single plane intake
holley 750 double pumper
how much horserpower do you think it should have??

i did desktop dyno and got 390hp and 415tq
i thought that was a lil high but could be wrong

I think that's high also and i also think there's a couple things that you could do to improve. First the single plane manifold is really bad on bottom end, and 2nd the carb is too big for the cam and heads that you have especially for the street.

i agree with zip, hp sounds on the high side, duel plane and 650 max cfm carb may work better with your combo.

the motor will be used for dragracing
and the carb im not to sure on the size
the choke horn was milled off before i got it and couldnt get the number off it to look it up

With the duel plane and the smaller carb you are almost building a 350/ 350hp engine

My thoughts would be cut the heads bout .030 and use the .017 head gasket for more comp. air gap intake and 650 carb or if it is footbrake car mabe a 750 vac. also if you could get Vortec heads that alone is worth 20 or so horses My Opinion. Later J. Smith 4621 racing

it is a footbrake truck
how much would i gain by shaving the heads down(compression and power)??

also what size header should i go with?
i was gona go with 1 5/8" with 3" collector
we have to make the headers cause no one makes headers for a sbc in a ranger lol

If your having to make your headers go big, the 1 5/8's X 3 will be fine. You''ll more than likley end up going bigger with the motor anyways since your racing it so why not have the bigger better headers already. Just makes sence.
Anytime you reduce combustin chamber volume and squish you will see a increase in torque and horsepower, now how much is debatable.
It really depends on the cam - high lift / long duration cams love compression, just make sure you check piston to valve clearance afterwards.
