i ssooooooooooooooooo happy to hear they are still here!!!i think ac dc put rock and roll back together in the 80s becauserock was fallin apart.and here it is 2008 and the only good bands out there today are from yesterday.2 songs got me more than one speeding ticket in the 70s thru today radar love by golden earring and takin care of buisness by bto. i put then on my 8 track volume up hair down(along with the windows) and foot to the floor....loved it damn, i still do. but it all falls back to ac dc THEY ROCK. thanks bjuice, its late 70sand 3am, i got get home gotta be at work at 6am. and i gotta drive all the way to 2008.

Yep, good stuff (AC/DC)!! there is a fine line between them & BUTT-ROCK however... Example: (JMO) "Stryper" (they wore little black & yellow jump-suits) & then you got like "Night Ranger" or Poison. These were the guy's riding on the true legends out there like AC/DC & are not to be confused w/ BUTT-ROCK. The BUTT-ROCK movement was big, & it got crushed by "Grunge Rock" such as groups like Nirvana & Alice & Chains... I was glad to see BUTT-ROCK go myself... (man, I hope I am not pissing anyone off on this), but remember the video w/ Van Halen (DLR) & he was flyin' around the stage w/a cable & wore tight leotards, big long hair w/ lots of hair spray, & enough make-up on to make biscuts??? He wore lip-stick too... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT??? Even in the 80's I was like, man that dude looks like WOMAN. Anyways, some of these make-up wearing, fairy flyin', hair-spray/big-hair sportin' dudes need a change. Some of that crap was wayyyyy CHEESEY. On the other hand, some of the groups like Dire Straights were cool too. JMO... there was omething wrong with these dudes who wanted to look like a Woman. Rigsby

Angus,Malcolm,Phil,Brian and Cliff have done it again boys! The new album (damn, showing my age again) is nothing but pure rock and roll. Do yourself a favor, if you are a rock fan, GO GET IT!! You will not be disappointed. Wally world has the cd for $14, it is in a hardback book type case with the lyrics.
Gotta go, time to hit the play button AGAIN!! :D :D :D

Ageed Tod 74!!! A few points about Mullets & Hairbands...

"mpsi" Is Mulletude per square inch. This is measured from the crainium of the skull to the bottom of the mullet. A true Mullet mpsi measurement should be 12" MINIUMUM to claim it. Mine was 18" at one time... about the same time White Snake was in it's prime. It was 1986, AC/DC was a native language... Metallica was getting good too...

But there were imposters... such as Butt-Rock artists... they are not too be confused with the REAL Heavy Metal bands. In my opinion, some included bands like "Stryper" or Air-Supply. This was my point in the earlier thread (I hope I did not make anyone mad).

Nothing like a good mullet however... it is ageless. Scooter

the only thing funnier than a Joe Dirt mullet is a skullet.

Rigsby mentioned Whitesnake in 1986, which brings back a sad memory. I was sitting at a redlight after leaving a Whitesnake concert and a Toyota pickup driven by the local police chief's son rear ended my 67 Chevelle SS... It lived, though sadly, the Toyota didn't make it...

If you want to see an ass kicking, energy filled concert then check out AC/DC Live at Donington! It is currently airing on VH1 Classic rock tv.
Two hours of Angus smoking his strings!! The drummer in this show is Chris Slade, bad assssssss! I think the concert was in the late '80s or early '90s.

i got to see ac/dc with the original singer bon scott and he hoisted
angus on his shoulders and walked the aisls and i patted angus
on the back as he passed, i was standing on my chair and was
14, their were other bands that had the bon scott sound like:
Helix, Krokus, but bon scott with his voice,"my balls are always,
bouncing to the left and to the right" classic "let there be rock"
well i have gone to the heavy side and Soulfly is coming to town
from brazil, i will be there to get my butt kicked with some
heavy stuff. when i was young and if you listened to ac/dc or rush,
you came from the gutter, that music was too loud and heavy,
just how i like it, like my chevy nova, loud and fast, yea
long, very long live rock my gear heads. 8)

Good thread... AC/DC & mullets. The two are ageless really... kinda like a pro-street Chevelle, I never get tired of them. Heavy Metal has a firm place in Rock History. Mullets are still strong & comming back too. Chevelles are my favorite car (even though I have a Camaro). Speaking of Chevelles, (Not to change the subject) but i noticed ad# 1359015... seems like a good deal for a 69 Chevelle. Anyways, it is so damn far from where I live!!
