When I was a kid we had a used car yard called "The Cord car company" They would advertise "hooks".IE cars that were way cheap & of course when you got there "that" one was "sold"BUT we have a beauty here for you!(At full tilt of course),Says the salesman.THis was before cell phones,We knew this was their method,So we went just around the corner to where a public phone box was asked about a certain car got the sales guys name arrived at the yard 30 sec later & purchased that car as it was not possible for him to have "sold"that car in that time. Not without a lot of arguement as to why we should buy another "better" car. This one we won.!I hate crooks!!
