What do you guys think of this shortblock combo . Was thinking of buying it and getting RFD to do the top end . What hp is that compstar stuff good to .

Never used there stuff before but compstar stuff is decent know people who use them upto 1100hp use good rod bolts.

also check out www.nyesautomotive.net for good short blocks that I have used.

If its a Dart built motor I have heard good things.

nothing wrong with Compstar. see link below..High profile Engine Builder "PAR RACING ENGINES" uses the Compstar or Manley "h" beam in his 565 and 582 ci

Also for the record PAR'S 565ci makes 1050 hp with conventional oval port heads. He can take the 565ci well over the 1150 Hp range getting a little more exotic..

i have callies compstar rods and a callies stealth crank in my new 565ci..it makes right at the 1,000 hp mark..my heads are a little less then the 3x oval port

That is odd. I was just looking at that short block and thinkin the same thing!
