I read this post on a thread below from Brian (BJuice Forum Mod). Thread is called "RJ is a great place ..." previously referenced user Bennington in title until edited.

What is the deal?

My dad and I are on the same ISP, sharing an internet connection wirelessly. He actually lives about 2 miles from each other. It's simple to do and alot of people are taking advantage of wireless technology. There are problems when some accounts require a different ip address for each account. But so far the only thing is it will log-off the other account when we try and log in at same time. Some mentally challenged people who can see your actual ip address, make some silly accusations at times but the benefit $$$ far outweighs the disadvantages. We can use an ip blanket site that shows bogus ip addy but that can cause law enforcement problems. And Internet Explorer does not like it an locks my computer up. My dad freaked when the old man on that other post thought he had a real "case" for investigation and posted that "YOUR BUSTED" post. I just think it's entertaining.
We use totally different accounts on Racejunk and are not SCAMMERS as was insinuated in that other post. My dad really did get ripped by the Bennington dude.

Somehow I think the odds of two people in the same building/area, with the same connection, on two computers, responding to the same thread one minute apart is .......

If the casual observer looked at that, he'd say one guy responds, logs out, logs in as another user-responds again-thats how it looked in a minute.

BTW, why did you both edit out your responses on the other thread if you both had problems? You guys actuall both edited back to back posts within 4 minutes of each other.

I have not seen so much investigation in one group of peeps before. Maybe the old guy can use your investigative skills. We even have PC anywhere, imagine the tricks I could perform with that one! And I know your lonely and been feeding quit a bit, but quit inviting everyone to NC. You won't find friends like that. Only been on this board for a week and know about five guys you've invited to your place, either to beat them up or (can't imagne) whatever. I thought this site was a great place to stop by and read about scammers or peeps saying hi or tech stuff but never imagned it could be so entertaining and would find peeps gong after each other and the revealing cries for help, gosh, almost got choked up about the "I'm a sensative guy" post. A bit of technical jargon, the right amount of flippancy, some humour, a few ridiculous assumptions and a dash of righteous indignation. Then the subtle attack on Rudy.

The point being to misdirect.

Your posts and Davebat's are made very close together on a regular basis-indeed the miracle of technology, multiple users or a split personality.

Kudos to you having multiple access points and one static IP address- If you simply used dial-in then you would have temporaily obtained an ip each time you called/dialed and really who could make the connection. Then you really could have kicked user bennignton and you wouldnt have had to edit out your posts.

Probably no one would have cared save the pile on of user Bennington.

BTW, why did you and davebat edit your posts? When you were being glib, you failed to answer that. If you were wronged and this is a user feedback scammer board, then why not honestly post?

IP's can be decieving...

I didn't write the following I just read it and copy pasted.It was an answer to a question someone asked. He had been acused of having 7 screen names on the same forum,which he denied.


A lot of internet companies use so-called "proxy-servers" through which their subscribers connect to the internet.

The result is that, for the outside world, all these subscribers have the same IP address (and for the computer-illiterate on that forum that apparently means there's only one subscriber... d'oh!).

On the *inside* of the proxy, you have your own unique IP address *for that network* (probably one that starts with 10.0 or 192.168)

The only way to *not* go through a proxy is to request a static IP address (I don't even know if AOL allows that) which is accessible from the internet - but then you're opening a whole 'nother can of worms (susceptibility to DDoS attacks, worms, Trojans, messenger spam, stuff like that.

Behind a proxy, you're *somewhat* protected (and with AOL it's like sitting behind a 50 feet thick concrete wall, but that's diverging into opinion-land)) - with a static IP, you're on your own regarding firewalls and services.

- dialup customers often share IP addresses; providers assume that not all dialup customers log on at the same time.

Regardless... that IP address is an *inside* (AOL only) IP address. You're still going through the proxy server, where you have the same IP address as thousands of other AOL users according to the rest of the world.

Indeed Tod-you are more computer guy then you think.

Dial-up gives you a temporary or new IP address each time you dial/log-in. Highspeed connections like cable give you a static ip. Same address each time you log on.

IP addresses prove nothing-you are right.

I find sleight of hand and deception more intriquing-Its just interesting that you would have "two users" providing separate deal feedback on a seller, as if they were both being scammed, and fail to disclose that they were related- some how that doesnt seem right. Then all the posts go away?

i have been on this Site since 2003 and have devoted thousands of man hours trying to make the forum a good place for all visitors and Members.

Davebat hasn't proved anything to the staff here on the forum. All the man has proved is that a wireless internet can share the same IP address. Thats it !!!..nothing has been proven or dis-proven by DAVEBAT that he was making post and posting right behind it acting as an innocent by-stander..( see 1st couple of post on this thread). Obvious things i will mention below convinced me the original post was smelling bad...AT BEST and i MEAN A LOOONG shot at best it was pure deception on whomever DAVEBAT AND D-WHOOPER IS ( IN THE FLESH)
when i got on to this situation. the IP address thing was just a small part. the other things i put together was d-whopper was posting as an innocent by-stander thanking davebat for warning of the tranny guy ETC......and what many of you missed is that one of D-WHOOPERS post was signed as Davebat..its a mistake i have caught people in over the years when they have been caught monking around like they are two people.
Of course there is an explanation by d-whopper as to why this happened when terry addressed it,,( see previous post) in this thread.

also ALL their intial post made by davebat and d-whopper was edited by One of them....Wonder why ?

Hey, I PMed you because your friend told me that you were a great guy, I was simply reaching my hand out. Since speaking with Tom, I was not rude or anything but nice in those PMs, your welcome to post them here. I did prove, to Tom's satisfaction that I am who I say I am. He told me several times that he could read between the lines and was sure that I am being sincere. I thought that we were done with the whole thing until you made that nasty post, all I've been asking is for you to get rid of the names, they are not in line with good forum practice and are against this boards terms and conditions.
I am also a long time member of RC who makes honor payments, with a real account. So lets PLEASE quit the shots and act like adults. Tom seems very upset that you gave up your mod status, don't take it out on him, re-sign as moderator and start being the great guy Tom knows you are. I think your bigger than this, at least that's what your friends think, don't let them down.
