How to send pm out of outbox

I am trying to send a pm but it is in my out box and not in my sent box. How do I send a pm?

If it is still in your outbox, that means that whoever you sent it to hasnt checked it yet, when they do it will move to your sent box.

I was thinking that it worked like e-mail, you send it goes to your sent box. Thank you
