Hello,
I am asking for help to get old or broken engine parts. I am starting an automotive class for a group of kids, and adults from my church. I am looking for small parts like oil pump, pickup, stock roker arm, lifter, parts just to show them and also explain to them how it works. I would like to be able to show them differences between stock parts and high performance parts. The big plan is to restore a 55 Nomad during the course as well. Also, we will be working on churc members cars for just the cost of the parts. I feel this would be a great way to keep the kids off the street and hopefully teach them a little along the way. :D Anything would be greatly appreciated.

Great idea!
Good luck with the project.
Maybe your local autozone or speed shop could come up with some used stuff.

Thanks slowmotion. I know the way I learned was going over and helpingt a mechanic work on his car once I got out of school. He had a 71 Cuda 8) Oh yeah, I almost forgot, then there was this one time when I try to tear apart and put back my dads brand new riding lawn mower. :) He still hsn't forgot about that.

Hey Chris,

You sure you don't need some broken high performance parts, i'm certain they would be easier to find among us racers, heck i could send you blocks, rods, pistons, bearings you name it. you see i may run fast but it's not cheap and not without broken parts  .

Hehe, i think BJ has some broken lifters also :o

Zip.

Anything would be appreciated. I am going to do some "show and tell" about the difference in high performance parts as well as stock parts.

Hey guys, I appreciate the ones that said they could help, I have gotten some stock parts from the local junkyard here, I am still looking for some used/broken performance parts for showing the difference between the two. The class will be starting in two weeks. Everyone is pretty excited. We have decide to also work on some cars for pretty cheap and used the money we earn to pay for a Church trip to next years Super Chevy Show. Even the minister is going to go to the classes. Just wanted to upadate everyone.
