ok so i am putting in my fuel lines at the momment.

my question is whats the best way to cut steel braid line? i was told to get a hack saw with a 32 or high tooth count and that would work fine but it seem that i get all the way threw just fine and at the end it always screws up. i use eletrical tape were i want to cut also.

the other question is any tips of tricks to get them to go into the actual fitting?

thanks justin

I Make these LINES Daily!

CUT-OFF Wheel with a 4 or 5" Wheel!
I have Used every Type of Cutter Made, this works the BEST!!
Later

Use as MUCH Lube as Possible, and i have some Super Thin Electrical Tape.
Also,Use ANTI-SEEZE on the Fittings!!!

The little cut off wheels on a 1/8 die grinder, cheap and easy. :)

I never had no trouble with a hack saw but you gota tape it good...I use masking tape wrapped several times around. Also get a set of aluminum safe jaws for your vise that are made for the AN fittings...makes it easier.

Spent the $4 and buy a tubing cutterBe hard to cut braided hose with a tubing cutter...............be kinda mushy/squishy/messy.
Best way is the thinnest cut-off wheel possible. I use a .045" thick wheel all the time after giving it a couple wraps of electrical tape. Really wouldn't even need the tape it cuts so neat.

My bad I had a brian fart thinking of steel hard line, the hack saw works awsome for the briaded lines.

i use cable cutters...slices right thru ( e-z)...place the tape where you want to cut place cutters on the tape and squeeze the handles...WAL-LA.

So many ways!! Here's mine: hold real tight with a couple of vise grips, then get ur sawsall out, & with a big vise, twist one vise grip & the AN clockwise while cutting her with really sharp wood blade... sure, you may get a few steel "straglers"... but if you just grind those off @ the end with yer binch grinder, you will be fine. Oh yea, remeber to put lots of duct-tape on there.

Actaully, I use a think die griner too w/ thin black tape.
