I have a 331 ci gm 3310 pound car 6200 stall powerglide with brake
6.20 gears 28x10.5 tires 1.57 60 foot and i cant get ET below 7.00
best et 7.19 96 mph I had a borrowed carb and had no problems bringin up RPM on th break , I now have a baker hp 750 now but it is slow bringing up RPM . any thoughts

Sounds like Converter to me... The carb as long as there is no dead spot should get there no problem..

I'd barrow the other carb again and see if it fixes the issue, could be a converter issue but if other carb fixes it, its a fuel issue.

I changed car at the trac and I noticed it right away , this baker comes on real hard at half track my mph is higher with the baker it just sucks when i stage it takes about 5 sec to get to 6200 rpm on brake . same size jets the baker does have power valve , also has 50s pumps frunt and back with 32s sqirters front and back

Block off your powervalves and see what happens.
