Well, think it is time to devote more time to Hot Rods & sell my CR450F... 20 years ago I was 18... I am 20 years too old for this. My neck is trashed!! Plus, this bike wants to secretly kill me... I know it. Has anyone sold a bike on here? I have zero expeirence selling online... & I am not in a great local area to sell close to home. I am wondering about shipping too. A dirt bike has to be easier than shipping a car... maybe. Anyone want a fast pit-bike? It will only go about 80mph (on one wheel), but I bet you could get about a 14 to 15 sec 1/4. Anyways, feed back?

I think they are related to racing junk. There used to be a link from one to the other. RJ also has a dirt bike section. I don't know about shipping for sure. But I think if you can strap it to a pallet any trucking service can ship it. That is how they ship scooters.

SLOMO: many thanks. I will review the link you sent, I never noticed the dirt bike section until reciently, so I will do some market comp's from there too. Yeah, If a trucking company could do it, that would help on cost I am sure.

I have a 2003 TTR225. A VERY mild trail bike. It's actually the offroad version of the dual purpose bike. I use it to chase my kids around the woods. I couldn't imagine a 450 race bike. Kinda like you 20 yrs ago it would been a blast. I rarely ride mine and I'm thinking about selling it and buying a 4 wheeler. My wife has a Honda 250 that's alot of fun to ride. My kids have cr125, cr80, and a pw80. A couple of years ago on their first bikes they couldn't keep up with dad, now they wait on me, lol.

Yep, I hear you. I would be better with a trail bike, but I get hurt doing things I should not do. It's time to hang up the helmet & go after drag racing more. I agree, the 4-wheeler would be good too. Plus I would use it to hunt...

Well Olds, I must say the KTM's are pretty nice... I love the hydraulic clutches they have... like butter!! Nice bikes now days. The 450R is all snort... good bike for a youger person other than myself. I am thinkin a Polaris 4 whlr... sell & add money toward the Gasser fund or something.

4 wheelers without clutches are very nice. Just put it in forward and go. My wife's has the electric shift. It has up and down buttons on the bars. You still have to shift but no clutch.

Slomo, which one do you guys have? I agree, no shift is good. Just 4wd & winch, & this would be a good rig to hunt & my kids & wife would love it. What brand do you think is good?

Rigsby, I have 4 atvs that we use for hunting and just too ride for fun. They are all Hondas.I have owned Yamaha,Kawasaki, and Polaris.I will ONLY buy Honda from now on.And NO I am not a Honda dealer or rep. They just seem to be a better built bike.I have 1 with a electric shift and it is nice when you are just riding for fun.But when we ride to the deerstand,we ride with our rifles slung over our necks and shoulders with the guns in front of our body.I teach my son to ride with one hand on the rifle to keep it steady and not to bump the scope.this makes it awkward for him to use the elec.shift and work the throttle at the same time.Just thought I would add my 2 cents. Rigsby,I have a Polaris Scrambler. It is a 4 stroke 4wd sport bike with a 500cc motor.Brakes and 4wd are second to none.Only thing that hurts it is no low range, less than optimal ground clearance and no fenders to keep to mud off of ya.So I went and got a Suzuki Kingquad 700.Low range is nice and 4wd is OK.To get true 4wd you have to lock a diff lock, but that activates a speed limiter.I think it limits the bike to 9 mph.It has an override button that you can hold in,but that only gets you up to about 15 mph.Sicks if you really want to blast thru the funky stuff.Scrambler will out power it in any situation, out handle it easily, uses alot less gas(both run on 91 octane)and definitely rides smoother. So ,if you want to blast thru the woods with a smooth, good handling bike with awesome 4wd to bail you out,get a Scrambler. It is truly bullet proof! If you want to climb over logs and play in the mud,the Kingquad does alot better than my Momma's Grizzly woth power-steering(which,by the way only activates AFTER you start rolling  ).Plus the Grizzly's are extremely HOT to ride on.You will suffer on that beast in the dead of winter, plus a Scrambler will outrun it,too :D I know you didn't ask,but there is my opinion on quads! :D

P.S. My Dad has a 700 KFX,SUPER fast bike,75 mph+!!!Great bike of you don't mind getting stuck or a broken body part once in a while....also extremely stiff ride.Great for the adrenaline junkie who doesn't mind going back to work on monday with a cast and a case of the monkey butt

My wife's is a Honda TRX250es. It was about $3000 new. It was a 2005 hold over we bought in 2006. A very nice "small" 4 atv. I really like the looks of the Yamaha Wolverine. It comes in 350cc and 4 wheel drive 450.
If I was going to buy another it would probably be a Honda or Yamaha.

Thanks to Nick, Olds Slomo... I have decided to allocate funds of my motorcross Death Bike towards a quad. My wife & I talked, I have too many toys that only pertain to me... this is something she & the kids can have too. I only asked about the Polaris becuase my dad has one... seems ok, but i have never owned a utility type quad... there are so many now. I want 4wd, winch, no shifting, soft ride & as quiet as possible. I only bow hunt, so I will use it for that. I think the distance it will go with a tank of gas (+ what I carry) & reliablity will be most important!! Eastern Oregon is pretty desilate & unforgiving when I am out there a ways. I am thinking 500cc & up, but gentle enough for my wife to ride. I want it to take me to uncharted territory in hopes of maybe killing a cougar this year (good luck , I know). I sure have seen alot of Chinese CRAP 4whlrs lately... off brands for less, those things are scarey looking! I am thinking Honda, Yam, or polaris... something like that. Maybe even a newer used rig...

My buddy and his wife have Eiger's.I think Suzuki makes it???I beleive it is a 400cc.Not sure.It has a cable operated flip-switch to operate the 4wd,whole bike is kinda simple and no frills. It is a really nice bike, though.Great power, good 4wd system/traction,very smooth ride, turns well/predictably and is one of the quietest bikes I've ever been around.Real easy on gas, too. They bought their's new for like $3500.It will go anywhere my Kingquad will. For the money,it can't be beat.It would be hard to find a good used bike at that price, let alone a 4wd.Once you get used to the fenders on the utility bikes keeping you clean, you'll never go back.

Rode a few this weekend, tried a Honda, Artic Cat, & Polaris. Of all the Polaris seemed to have the best suspension. Twin cycl, plenty of power (600cc) & torque. This one was a few years old... but nice. I will keep looking...
