I bought a Crankcase Evac. System from the last swap meet. I have a couple of question on installing it. First what hose should I use?? Is the clear tubing the sell at Lowe's good enough or will it just melt. Also have far into the exhaust should the fitting stick out?? any trick on where and how for the header/exhaust I should install it? This is being install on a 72 chevelle.
Thanks,
Travis

I too think heater hose is the common practice, unless you're in close qtrs, with the header tubes, then it's steel braided line but at 2 times the cost.

Along with this topic, do you guys use breathers in the valve covers with the evacs?

If you installed the draft tubes the way Moroso shows on the link, how will the extra notch help?
Wouldn't the notch be seeing impact pressure?
Have you used a vacuum gage on the cranckcase to verifiy it worked better?
For best vacuum, I don't think the way Moroso shows is best. I've seen 3"hg negitive pressure in the crankcase from draft tubes, but they weren't installed like Moroso shows (and everyone does)

The exaust pulse blasts through the notch and out the angled end creating further venturi vacuum.
