Post changed...cannot remove

I tried to remove this post, but that is not an option listed, so I changed it this initial post and removed the information about the children's charity.

Thanks for voting everyone! It is sad that people considered information about a children's charity spam, but as promised, I removed the info.

Since someone raised the question of spam, I would like to hear your thoughts. You can vote if you consider this post spam or not by going to the first post. I am open minded and will remove it if most fourm members feel it needs to be. I play by the rules and respect this forum. My question is, how is "nonprofit" considered spam?

If several forum members strongly feel I should remove it, I will with no problem. I was just trying to help the kids out.

Could the rest of everyone else on this forum let me know if you guys think this is spam. Please post here and let me know. If enough people agree that it is I will remove it A.S.A.P.

I think any advertising should be considered spam, regardless of the business status, Profit or Nonprofit.

None of us considered this petition SPAM,I don't think.We all went in and signed awy.But when someone ask for money to help the kids all of a sudden it doesn't belong.Hooper,I don't think it is SPAM at all.If somenoe doesn't want to give to it,that is perfectly okay.But I think you did a good thing by putting it up here.Good causes need all the help they can get.


I bet if that money was going to help the kids or grandkids of the people who said it was Spam,that would change their point of veiw.Just my opinion.Take it for what it's worth: my opinion + $0.50 + a cup of coffee. :D

olds48 i resd your post and i imagined that my little granddaughter needed that money to help her.and all of a sudden it wasnt spam anymore.if it will raise a few dollars to help a kid somewhere. i dont care if they put it on here. my little girl was born with a heart problem. didnt know if she would live or die. she was so tiny. her parents didnt have any money. a millon plus and 3yrs latter i get to hear pappa. and i dont care who paid for it or how much, i get to hear pappa.

My niece is going in for a major heart surgery in September. St. Judes is the place helping her and her family.

On a different note, God saved my life in a major wreck in December, so I am a better person because of it. I thank God everyday for every breath!

I feel it's spam when it's somebody coming on here only to post their raffle, contest, or whatever. But It's more acceptable when it comes from a regular member.

The question propossed was not if it was a good cause, but weather it should be classified as spam. Any unsolicited advertisment is spam and should be placed in the advertisment section.

i know your right blittle,way deep down i know its spam,BUT its for the kids so i guess i turn a blind eye. when my granddaughter was born 6 wks. early and with heart problems it has really softened me up to kids needs. any kid any need anyway possible to get what they need.BUT its still spam.

I read the whole thread. At first, I was thinking Spam... & then I saw a change in perspective... if it were my kid, I would reach as many, wherever I could. If it was a members kid, I would donate... period. I know that if this was my son or daughter, you guys would help me if you could. So, I have to go with my heart on this one & support the kids who need help.... I am happy to donate too.

If this were "work at home & make millions from your home sipping Martini's by poolside" type of ad, I would say go away & pound sand... that belongs somwhere else.
