H pipe connection on a race exhaust system

Has anybody tried fabricating an H pipe connection on a race only exhaust system?
I know it helps on street racing motors, but what about the drag race only.

I've seen a few in our area and most go back to a true dual setup and pick up a couple .02's.Who knows try it and see what happens.If it works better without the Hpipe you could always sell it or use it on something else.
