I have a BBC 69 Camaro w/ TH350 & dana 60. Brand new balanced slicks, new front runners also balanced. U-jonts look fine, driveline seems ok. I am getting a on/off vibration that is constant @ at 50-55mph that is bugging me. Its slight... but stong enough to make my auotmeter guage needles vibrate on top of my dash off & on at that speed... idea's??

I had a very similar vibration once in a BBC 67 Camaro that turned out to be a small crack on the torque converter hub, where it engages into the front pump. But of course that's not something you can even check without taking it out:(

Well, it's good to know... i would not have thought about that. Did it leak or have any other symptoms? I am hoping I have a bent wheel or something simple.... haven't checked that yet.

No leaks or other symptoms at all other than the vibration. It was very hard to even see when I took it out too. It was just lucky I took the trans out for another repair and decided to check the convertor over real good(kind of already suspected it as I had checked everything else). But, hopefully yours is something a little easier to find.

if the vibration goes away at higher or lower speeds it could be a tire or wheel problem.sorry i didn't think of that till you said something

No prob... took me awhile to suspect the wheel too... the RR is bent, I have no idea why (Weld Pro Star). When jacked up, you see it- its that bad!! question is, what the hell did i do??? looks like I will be buying a new one....

brain farts are a way of life for me... that's why I am asking you 858. The last thing I want to diagnose on my car is a stupid bent wheel.... what a joke. I don't know what the hell I did, but it's bent.

I'll go out on a limb and say you hit something. Maybe a chuck hole
