Yep, same here. Been dealing with them and Jegs for about 15 years. No problems. Lately I've been using Jegs more. Their staff seem to know more and they ship quicker.....

if ya got local or Smaller INDEPENDENT SPEED SHOP (S) please support them...they are a dying breed.

why ??...you get their research beforehand..if something comes up short try getting a mail order company to get it fixed or try getting the summit salesman to put you on the right heads or camshaft..on the other hand go thru someone like Ron Owens racing ETC and watch him get it fixed..they have the priority attention of their distributers.

this is not saying any large parts mail order companys such as JEGS or Summit are not good..it is what it is,,

my opinion only.

I agree with Brian.Summit and Jegs are great but if you have locals close enough it is better.Nearest one 2 me is about 45mins to an hour, but still worth the drive every couple of months.

Yes,I agree with Brian. Do business locally if you can. If it's like the store I do business with they might give you a little break on the prices if you're going to do a large amount of business. JMO.

STAY WITH THE LOCAL GUYS IF POSSIBLE--THEN GO WITH THE BIGGER GUYS IF YOU CAN'T GET WHAT YOU NEED 8) 8)

I TRIED TO GET INFO ON HEADERS LAST YEAR FROM SUMMIT[ TECH GUYS WAS VERY RUDE AND DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HEADERS]--ENOUGH SAID

TRY RON OWENS!!!---IF HE DON'T TREAT YOU RIGHT WE KNOW WHERE HE HANGS OUT

I buy from Jegs monthly it seems. I do use locals when I need something bad, but prices from Locals dont touch mail order around me.

The best deal with Jegs is if you have a nhra or ihra membership # call them up and ask about the jegs discount program. It has saved me thousands in the last year. Recently purchased a new set up rear brakes $85.00 of book price with discount.

We just signed with a huge Motorsports warehouse. Basicly we can get anything Jegs or summit has and we can at least match their prices, and give you the absolute best Customer service we can.Right now we are in the process of moving into our first Store Front. It is located in a pretty good size building that also houses a Fab Shop and restoration shop.We are even carrying Roundy Round parts now !! Anyway, if we can help anybody out, we certainly will.
Oh and Brian, we will be heading through S.C. next month so please send me your # again !!!

i agree to support local first, but if your gonna buy jegs or summit both are good. one thing to remember is you don't pay sales tax on mail order unless the business is in your state. think that's not much try buying a block, heads, intake, pistons, ect and take 7% or more off. it does add up. I live in Ga so i by a lot of parts from jegs because summit has a store in Ga. Both charge a flat $10 shipping fee no matter if it's a $20 order or $2,000 order. As far as customer service, both are good and i have sent plenty of items back. BUT PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHOP BECAUSE HE PROBABLY HAS THE EXPERIENCE TO INSTALL WHAT HE SELLS AND WILL HELP YOU IF YOU NEED HIM!!!

Also try Competition Products.com Very , very good pricing on parts. They don't carry everything, but I have had real good luck with them. Who's this Ron guy every one is talking about? Good luck and support your local guy's if possible!

I try to buy from the local speed shops too. They need the business more than Jegs or Summit.
Wise Speed Shop is about two miles from my house and Jerry Bickel is about 4 miles. So I'm covered.
Plus my two boys work at Wise part time. :)
