I'm building a 327 small journal 30 over, its got a stock crank and rods, speed pro forged pistons .125 dome, comp cam, 501/501 lift, 244/244 duration, camel back heads ported and polished, screw in studs and guideplates, 2,02 int, 160 exh, double valve springs, 1.5 roller rockers.

I want ideas about what intake to use and pushrod size. i have a weiand tunnal ram 2by4 set up, but i'm going for street and strip. Any info would help.
thanks

Nice engine. Don't see to many stock cubes any more. Seems like everyone is going big or bigger these days. I commend you on your choose of engine 8) Just keep the RPM's around 6,000 with those rods and she'll live forever!
So whats it going into? Street and strip? Auto w/stall or standard trans.? What size of carb, vaccum or double? Rear gears?
Fill us in Dude :D

Does have a opinin on what I could chage or what can I do to get the max HP out of the motor? I'm new at all this performance and stuff, but I do know you got to have the stuff match up to have it right. Anything would help

Victor Jr's are easy to find and work well, the tunnel ram will only be grief in your case. 5/16 .080 wall PR will work fine for you. As long as you used stock length valves, stock length PR's will be fine. A 4778 700 or 4779 750 would be a good place to start as well.

Thank you I do have stock length valves. So the stock PR will work?

I would put on a RPM Air-Gap intake and with only 327 cubes I would stick with the 650 carb. The tunnel ram would look "Awesome" but you would have to run some small carbs on it like 500cfm or 600cfm vaccums.
A set of smaller AFR alum. heads would really open it up 8) Hey maybe even a 75 or 100hp shot of nitrous for the strip!

I was thinking a 100 shot later on, I thought about the performer and the victor jr. The tunnel ram will go on the next project, but it sure would look good sticking out of a s10.

i notice you ran the cam at the border lift range for street, i take it
there was enough clearence with the speed pro raised pistons, and
the form fits the chamber, a friend of mine had to change his rods
to bring the piston down, nice little street motor, what brand of rings did
you use, thanx 8)
