View Full Version : 74 NOVA DISK BRAKE CONVERSION?

Hi all, Dose any one have any idea of what parts we need to convert a 73-74' nova to front disk brakes?. It has the steering behind the wheels. what spindels, brakets, ect will work? Is there a inexspensive kit on the market? any help would be great, KILLER KEN.

You need spindles off of a disc brake car..I am sure the camaro and Nova are the same..just check a parts book to cross reference the rotor part numbers. You will also have to change master cylinder and maybe proportioning valve. If you want to use your drum brake spindles you can buy a Wilwood kit or Aerospace, Strange and a few others make them. Depending on the weight of the car those kits are between $550- $700.

Dose any one know what years and what cars we can get the parts out of to swap out for the conversion?

I think 68-74 nova are all the same you can buy the spindles through jegs then just get the rest through autozone or where ever
