A couple comments, its always the sellers perogative not to negotiiate, as well as to determine the shipping method. The seller can even decide that their first name is L.

However its as you say up to you as the buyer to decide to send the money or not-sounds like you saw some red flags and sent anyway. Always trust your gut.

The only issue I find here is that he accepted payment from multiple parties-not right. Other then that it sounds like he was being tough to deal with and wanted to set his own rules and have you follow them.

So if you got your money back-you're whole and you learned to trust your gut, and you gained some more experience on what guys are doing on the internet.

If your money is being held then thats another story......

HPP 12/03 On the cover and story inside. course we only ran 8.05 in the dallas heat. you have 5.11 dialed on your dragster and we only run 4.90 - 5.10 in the 1/8th which we dont like , but we have a DOOR SLAMMER . your probably a nice guy but as i said earlier, dont have the time or patience for tire kickers.have no idea what the joke about the jet bussiness is about, must be your attempt at being funny both cars in the stacker are certified and have a NHRA license and if you want to put one of those sleds up as a bet let me know. I'm sure there are plenty of guys on here that run slower than 10.00. They don't have a license or certified car, but that makes them no less of a racer than the next guy. My last car ran 14.60. I've won my share of rounds. My new car is an altered with a VERY mild 454. I'm hoping to run high 9's so it will fit in a certain class at my track. Sure I could've spent more money and had more maintenance issues to go faster but I don't need to. It also has low compression so I can run pump gas. I see too many people complaining about the price of race gas.
I don't care if you could run 6.90's. An 11.90 car can put you on the trailer just as easy as a fast car.

Why has this escalated to this point?

If the seller sold the jets to someone else (seems he did), then send all prospective buyers who sent checks or MOs their money back. Thats pretty simple and failure to do so would be theft. It it involves US Postal Money orders than I believe its mail fraud if its not returned or could be deemed to be fraudulent advertising- Its not worth all this if the item is sold.

But this email string has become about name calling, about calling people out, about provoking people, about bringing up folks who are deceased. I cant see why all of this became necessary.

If the MO hasnt been sent back, send it back. If an honor payment was agreed to, make it. If it wasnt then make it anyway as its the right thing to do.

If you honestly think mandrel bending tubes is easy you are a fool. I am not speaking of the crude tube benders most racers are used to seeing/ using. Those are a complete joke. :lol: I am talking about 3 axis cnc stuff that can run as many bends per tube as you want in one cycle. Some jobs we do have as many as 6- 10 bends in them( most are only 4-5) with positive and negative rotations between bends.. BENDS MUST BE HELD WITHIN 2 tenths of a degree and the finished parts have to fit a gauge with .020" over saddles(on a 3" tube the saddles measure 3.020) ...yeah it doesn't take any type of skill to do that without junking several parts in the process. :roll:

We run everything from .375 x .065 up to 7" x .120 wall
Most of our stuff is on "1 to 1 " tube dia - radius ( 3" tube x3 radius etc)
bending 6" .065 wall tubing on a 6" radius over 100 deg bends. We also do 5" .065 316 and 304 stainless on a 5" radius...

5" .071 ALUMINUM ON a 6" radius. (without ripping the tube in half because as we all know aluminum is soft)

Weeks, ago we had a little girl run at Twin Cities that ran 7.25 @ 189 in the 10.5 class, they were paid big money, but that money came from the little guys who were also at the race and paid their $80.00 entry fee to win $1200.00, without these little guys they could not have paid $5,000.00 to win in the 10.5 class.
Now with that said i will not belittle you nor will i doubt your success in business or in racing. But if you do have all these things you should post them to clear your name, because right now you are comming across as a joker who is very good at yanking peoples chain (NOT MINE). With that said, i think you were totally wrong in holding the persons money that he sent you for the nozzles, even for one day it was wrong. $87.50 may not be anything to you, but to some people it might be a days wages, who is just trying to improve his race car on a budget. Maybe this person has a family with kids, that $87.50 could almost buy groceries for a week, i know it would for me.
