eletric fuel pump v/s belt drive

A friend of mine asked me if he could run a eletric fuel pump on his dragster and not a belt drive. Could someone give me some information on doing this ? thanks, he's running alky and a carb

Yes you can do it and many do, do it. Its no different then using a electric pump on a door car with gas. Get a good fuel pump and regulator that is good with alky and you'll be fine.
