i run an A2000 aeromotive pump with an a4 regulator i run the bypass off the pump and never had a problem. i run 12 pounds pressure at the pump and 8 pounds at the regulator
Now for some reason i am losing all fuel pressure. it will drop down to zero ,but the carbuator does not lean out.i tried turning the pressure up at the pump ut did not seem to help
I am running out of ideas real fast---- any ideas ???

did you try a differant guage?

i use an innovate datalogger
pressure holds constance at 8 lbs until i release the transbrake and the pressure drops and goes back to 8 lbs when i let up on it

Nova,
I don't have an answer as to why you are having your problem but it sounds like you are stalling the fuel in the lines. The bypass could have a problem when you take of there is a spike in fuel flow resistance and it sounds like the pump is giving up at that point. I would call aeromotive and see what they suggest or pull the pump apart yourself and look things over.

One thing I just thought of though you said the pressure on your data logger shows zero until you let up on the throttle, is that at the end of the pass and the carb did not run out of fuel? If so it might be a sensor problem. Just some thoughts.

This would be my guess also I've seen liquid filled gauges mess up from motor heat.

Take your bypass regulator off and apart and clean it well. I have seen them get gummed up and malfunction. May not be the problem but worth looking at!!!

As for the fuel pressure drop at release of the brake, That's normal ans it should come back up..

On another note 8 fuel psi is more than enough at the regulator IMO 8)

i am going to talk to aeromotive about the pump and talk to Innovate about the sensor--- thanks for all your response
i will let you know the results-- thanks again
