not to sound like a smart a$$...but this has been a 1st time in many years we have been at Full fledge War,with oil being at an all time high, foreclosures at record highs....we ( USA ) are on the edge of a recession...economy SUCKS Big time...
So why is anyone surprised at slow moving sales. things are not moving like times of old,,yes you still have big sponorsed racers and die hard racers that have extra cash buying things..but thats about it...
a good example of how bad it is: Even after the feeable economy stimlulas package "W" Passed...and with the the anouncment that the FEDS has cut intrest rates another 1/4 percent...and the STOCK MARKET AND DOW STILL CLOSES 32 POINTS DOWN TODAY ?
You tell me its not bad...when you cannot give free money away...
think about it ?
i say put your cars and good parts up and wait for better days.

Our Business is still suprisingly strong, just not on RJ at the moment. We will ride it out and when it picks back up, and it will eventually pick back up, we will do our Dealer acct. again and keep on trucking. Oh yeah, Bjuice, I was in IRMO last week, went just outside your neck of the woods on my way to Atlanta to pick up our HANS Stuff.

Do Yall know why everything is Slow..Its Because of these Scammers on here..And if you look they have been more scammers in the past year than it was 2 years ago..And people is getting Scared because they are afraid that they will get ripped off..And racingjunk should stop that before they build a Account..But you can if you been on here long enough then you will know who is a scammer or not..But you take these New People that never been on here before and i bet you that they will be the one to get ripped off..because they dont know what to look at as far as a Scammer...But thats why people is getting afraid to buy anything on here..But i think its Bull $hit People ripping other people off..and they dont know how it is to take someones hard earn money that they worked for but it pisses me off way they do you know....

I think the scammers are easy to spot to me, I can't speak for anybody else but myself but they usually are dead giveaways. Sticking with the dealers is always a good idea.
The only time I bought something from a indiviuial on here I got burned.
The guy lied about what he had and sent me a carb that's questionable at best and probably wont even end up using it, so long five bills...
I'm going thru a divorce right now w/ 2 kids involved and trying to finish a racecar at the same time so money is tight to say the least and hey I'm still buying stuff. I cant wait to get back racing and see what they jacked racing fuel and entry fees up to this year, but thats racing.

We can all thank our president Bush for all of that. Bush is also the reason for the economy lower than dirt to.

yeah it's called BUSHNOMICS the same thing that his dady done when he was president! strangle them make um pay at the pump's we need more money.
Try driving a big truck and the LEAST you pay at the pump is 400 not to mention that everything else is going up BECAUSE of the price of fuel.
Well theres an election coming up. Time to make a change. Not that I'm either left or right. Whoever can do whats best for the economy and doesnt have the oil companies in their back pocket.
Like that BUSHNOMICS. Aint that the truth.

I liked the way Clinton done things, so I will have to vote for Mrs. Clinton for president. If you get her, you get him. Thats two for the price of one, its a win win.

What kills me is none of the presidential candidates are saying much about these high oil prices, all ol "w" would have to say is were fixing to reopen our oil fields and prices would start dropping like a rock even if the first well was never uncapped. The bad part is high oil prices have driven all consumer pricing up and even if oil got back to 40 a barrel, consumer prices for groceries and general merchandise wouldn't come back down.
I know the President is not responsible for the increase in prices but, his voice can play a big part in whether or not they get out of hand and "w " has set back and let them go crazy. JMHO

I believe that 2 things are holding down the economy, First was of course the Oil prices which to me the Speculaters are being left to do what ever they want. As long as I can remember there have always been troubles in the Oil producing countries so why have they now decided to use that as a reason to jump up the oil prices???? What, Sunoco just announced record profits again....that says it all imo.
Also the housing market has really helped the economy take a dive.We had our house on the market for 6 months and never got shown once. We live not 5 mins from the Atlantic Ocean and cant get anybody to even look at our house. The Developers were left to build as much as they could as quick as they could with no forethought on the future and now there are thousands of empty brand new homes sitting empty around here. Also the people that got involved with those arm's that the banks started jacking the interest rates on didnt help. There are 2 people to blame for that, the banks and the people getting taking those kind of loans.I know a guy whos interest rate went up 4 points in one month, Now that was just the Bank getting greedy and it cost the banks in the long run, because now there are all these foreclosed on houses that arent worth anything.
It will be awhile before we see a good economy again.
Hopefully Washington will get their heads out of their respective butts and get a handle on it.

what i can say about BAD economy from past history, such as WWII depression and another other low times......Many people set themselves up for having a lot of money in the future and even get RICH..
what i mean by this..is now is the best time ever for anyone in a 401k or other kind of mutual funds.....the stock prices are low...now is the time to BUY,BUY,BUY,BUY..
if your anyhwere from legal working age up into your mid 40's or lower 50's..now is the time to increase your 401k etc......
you will end up having a-lot of shares at the end of this economy thing..and when the market rebounds ( AND IT WILL)..Your Stock value will SOAR thru the roof...
trust me there will be some smart ones that will set themselves up or give their self a boost in their retirement effort they would have never had without this economy thing..then there will be some that will freak themselves out and sell off and lose their cans..
( if your close to retirement age the agreesive buying doesn't count for you..cut back to Bonds)

OOBOB! come on get real what do you mean w can't control the price of fuel!! i do believe we have what they call a reserve, not only that the bushe's own oil well's. GIVE ME A BREAK! BUSHNOMICS! why should he give a s!@t about the working man, if i lived in a place where everything was paid for i wouldn't have to buy gas either. bleed us at the pump's thats there logic. and as far as CLINTON again GIVE ME A BREAK! THERE GOES THE REST OF THE ECONOMY! HEY KATIE BAR THE DOOR! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

Did you have a dollar in your pocket when Clinton was in there, I did????????? Now I bet if your like me you don't have 2 nickels to rub together. When Bush got in there it started, we are just now feeling the affects, it will take 7-8 years for anything good to come our way. His tax credit is bullsh!t, he is borrowing it from china, the american people will just go out and buy china made products and China's economy will soar not ours!!!!!!!!!!

bjuice maybe you didn't hear of ENRON that's was a real scam yeah run out and buy some stock while it's low! these CEO'S NEED A BIG RAISE! or maybe you forgot about the wallstreet crash in the 30's boy how many lost there life saving's there because of politic's. i hate to say it but we are falling in another depression not recession! no thank's i'll just take mine and bury it in a safe in the yard for future purchases!
bjuice
02-04-2008, 12:05 PM
you bury yours and i'll take my chances with compounded intrest...you hang around here long enough we will compare dividends down the road and see who made out the best.
also i don't remmber the 30's wall street crash ( too young) but do remember the stories About it thru granpa......ENRON was big scandel..and as a result of enron..SARBAN OXLEY was born ( ever heard of it?) if not then Goolge it..
In all Fairness i DO NOT think you can use ENRON scandal as a basis not to invest in long term mutual funds..or further more decide to bury your money...cause if we end up as bad as you say we will and the Federal goverment goes bankrupt ( your indication not mine)..then all the paper money will be no good anyhow ( federal reserve notes)..only your coins will be good to spend...so when you dig your hole,,dig it big enough to hold alot of loose change in 5 gallon buckets instead of mason jars......LMAO
Also ( WITHOUT GOOGLING)...tell us the difference between a depression and a recession ?..

hey, before you blame bush for everything keep in mind these points.....
1. opec nations(arabs) will not increase production which is raising pricing and killing the entire world economy.
2. the enviromental whackos of the clinton administrations closed the country for anymore drilling.
3. I voted for bush and cannot stand the man.
4. If you think its bad now, wait until socialized medicine finishes off what was a great country.
I would vote for the one person that says we will be independent of foreign oil!!
observations from washington state which is full of environmental whackos.

Life is tough right now and people don't have the disposable income. I got a set of chrome headers with mufflers for $650 on here. These are real nice headers and just trying to pass along a good deal. These should have sold 5 times over by now..... but I still got them. There is a large increase in the number of ads in all sections of the site. It is just a very slow economy. Good luck to all of you.

Wow, talk about a touchy subject......
Hey did you hear about Chevron and Exxon, BP etc record profits?
OPEC is cutting production in an effort to try and make us slow our consumption, "NEWS FLASH" doesn't work, never has, but it does sound good to people that dont read between the lines, it's just another lame excuse for the already filthy rich pukes to make more money, I'm sure OPEC is seeing kick backs from them already, I can hear it now, cut it more guys, checks in the mail.
We need a president who's family is NOT in the oil business period!
To me it's a conflict of interest anyway. We never paid this high for gas before the bush's and their money making agenda's put the screw to us. We need a President that steals from the greedy and gives to the needy. to bad nobody like that is running though, they all have dollar signs in their eye balls, and yeah I'm upping my 401k contributions, doubled it as a matter of fact last week, only wish I had done it a month ago.
Uh ohh!! lookout the BUSH owned super tanker Condilessa Rice is fixing to run over your american dream, crush crush!

Is this post over the slow economy or why all the SOB'S in the oil business are lying cheating A$$holes or how bad the american public has it from the rich getting another worthless piece of crap in the white house? OK everyone, there's 2 things you never talk about with friends and thats politics and religion. Economy is slow, if you have to sell right now I feel for you as you aren't going to get squat. Taxes are coming back now, so this will be the best time to try and sell for the highest return on your stuff. I use to think trading was a joke, but now then it actually does me better then selling outright, as I at less get something I need instead of taking a huge loss and having to come up with more $$$$ out of my pocket to get the parts I need. Guys, good luck with selling, but just try to not get where you have to sell quickly. You'll never win no matter what the enconomy is. JMO
