I'm looking for a low budget alternator mount for a BBC in a Malibu. It has an electric waterpump and I would like a snug mount forit.I've seen the March setup but its a little pricy for me.

I took my alt.mount, the stock one, that takes the single long 3/8 bolt.Put it down low on the block and flipped my alternator backwards.Pulley facing the motor.Fits up tight and didn't spend a dime

I will try and find it.Just use the bracket that works as the swivel originally.Just take it off the head and mount it on the block, like where a power steering pump would be.If you got power steering use the other side of the block. And,YES,the alternator will charge when running in the opposite direction.Do you have fenderwells in your car?If so might have a hard time mounting down low

Allright BIGS,found two pics, not the best.Easiest way for me to tell you to see them is go to the classified page and search ad # 1073657,thats one of my ads.Pull that up and then click on the place to view my profile. They are the bottom two pics in my gallery. Can't really see how it fastens to the block in those pics, but will give you an idea if that is what you're looking for.If it is ,I can try and get a better shot of it.Let me know
P.S. I'm really just trying to show off my rig

 $300....."not bad".....thats a new roller cam!!!Spib,if I had your money,I'd burn mine to stay warm
well a csr eletric water pump is around $280 so if you can get a pump, a alt bracket and a new one wire alt for $300 then thats pretty good I think, If you think I have lots of money, thats funny!!!!!
