most ppl are blind to whats really going on ,or whats happening ,or will happen these days
what could us little people do about it- we basically have no control until it comes down to a civil war-
we vote- ?? they will get in whoever they want and make us think we put them in office-
we stand for our rights, and were borderline (terrorist) for trying to get people to understand/or fight back, and get charges brought up-lol
and if they cant think of a reason they will make a new ignorant law to shut us up,or pay the system
we wouldn't want a panic now would we
communism is alive we just dont see it so clearly
(no smoking)-- now shut up and go back to work
??? what -next no smoking in your own cars/ or the passenger will sue you?-lol--- oh you might get a ticket as well-(taking your eyes off the road) ect...
click it or ticket- (we dont care if you live or die we just want money)
it is your vehicle
this is simple personal rights that are getting taken right now!!!!!!!
next no fm radio!!!!-lol
oh looks like shes got nice boobs though-lol (lighter side)

well did you see who bailed out the major credit card companies,
saudi arabi, china, mizuho, and japan and these are american
companies like citi bank and its in the billions and they say that
its just a tempory fix, thats bad :(

If the credit card companies tried to help people when they get in a jam instead of making things worse by increasing intrest rates they wouldn't have needed to be bailed out and people wouldn't have defaulted at the rate they did.. Credit cards and the banks that promote them should be illegal anyway, especially the way they do business now! CROOKS, EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!!!

Blittle I sure hope you ain't wanting to burn a flag  Hey man I really appreciate the video, buy would like to give my OPINION.Not saying anyone is right or wrong here.Ever hear of scare tactics?Probably a good way to sell political books  Hitler once said(not that I like qouting monsters)"If you tell a lie loud enough and long enough, eventually the people will believe it."Creepy, huh? But it's true. She makes some good points, but keep it in perspective.Like how she compared burning Dixie Chicks CDs to being "one of the steps".People were burning those cds IN SUPPORT of America and patriotism. The Dixe Chicks went to another country and started bad-mouthing my President, and some of the Americans stood up for what they believed and showed it.At their own expense,I might add. Now,I'm not saying whether I voted for Bush or not(don't want to start no trouble)but he is the President of my country, and the position demands respect.I bet if some well known person was to try and pull a stunt like that in Iraq, speaking out against the government and it's leaders, they would have found themselves on trial for treason. And we all know how that would have ended  It's nice to live in a FREE COUNTRY.Now,I know we have some problems, plenty of them,BUT I WOULD NOT TRADE AMERICA FOR ANYTHING.And speaking of Guantanamo,I don't belive Bush was trying to build some new kind of lawless concentration camp.Let me tell you a little story a fellow I go to church with told me.When he was fighting in Vietnam alot of his platoon became captured. When noone could locate them, they went into the jungle and took some prisoners of their own.Took them on a little helicopter ride. When the enemy refused time and again to give any information(pretended they didn't speak English)my buddy went to plan "B".Please don't get mad at me for typing this next part. They took one of they guys and removed his pants and tied a string around his "you know whats",gave him some slack, than a little push.Horrible.I know. But you know what? The next guy in line somehow learned PERFECT English.Seventeen American prisoners were located, and taken home because of that helicopter ride.I'm not going to get involved in a moral debate, but when it is our Soldiers on the line,I believe we are to do whatever possible to bring them home to the country that they protect.Even at the expense of hurting some terrorist's feelings  And by the way....if our government is a "democracy"...why does the Pledge of Allegiance(which I take very seriously) state"to the REPUBLIC for which it stands"?I encourage EVERY American to sit down and read the Declaration of Independance.Especially the part about where our Fore Fathers declare that they" mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our Sacred Honor"in the fight to establish America. After all, when they declared independence from Britian they were committing high treason, and literally put their lives in stake.Had we lost the Revolutionary War,they surely would have been put to death.Thank God that they did.I LOVE THIS COUNTRY, BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HONOR?I'll shut up now
P.S. Yes,she does have very nice............posture

I WOULD NEVER BURN OUR FLAG! I fly it proudly everyday in front of my house.
I debated long as to whether or not I should post that link. I felt like there were some important issues that people needed to here. Didn't say I agreed with her, but the point is many things happen on a daily basis that we don't pay any attention to, and I really think people need to wake up, take notice before it is to late.
With all the illegal imigration, and little pieces of our individual rights being chipped away at, the next thing you know we'll wake up and it will be to late. Everyone seems to be lulled to sleep, husband and wife both have to work, caught up in the daily grind and not really concerned about anything that doesn't effect them directly.
When I started talking to my wife about this, her comment was "It's nonsense, were free and we'll always be free" It's exactly that kind of complacency that will be our undoing. We haven't always been free, and unless we're carefull we won't always be. Throughout history democracies have only lasted about 200 years, we're at 232.
PS. I burned my Dixie Chick CD's as well and still won't listen to them!

I completely agree, only thing is that's not what's happening. The illegals just bitch and whine until they get the same benefits as a legal citizen does.
Let me clue you Tax paying freedom loving american citizens in on something you probably haven't thought of.
I have a friend who is Mexican, he was born and raised in the U.S. and served in the 1st Gulf War. He told me about this so I have no reason to doubt it. Many of the companies here in the U.S. especially ones close to the border. Hire temporaries to do general labor in their facilites, most of them are young Illegal mexican girls between 16 and 25 years old. After a few months these girls come up pregnant, have the baby here for free. Guess what? That baby is now a U.S. citizen and under law qulifies for all the government benefits of any other American child. You know the programs like WIC, AFDC, Welfare, Social Security. Now these girls Open a bank account in the childs name, setup a direct deposit and go back to Mexico and just withdraw the money with an ATM card, ever thought about how far a SS or welfare check goes across the border. They also have people that cross and shop here using the WIC cards.
Hell yea they love America and leave laughing all the way to the bank. You think that the goverment would put a stop to this kind of crap, wouldn't you? Well I have had it up to here, with just this kind of BS!

a comment to olds48 regarding the pledge of allegiance, I'm in my 40's and having a hard time remembering how it goes, I bet you could go to any public school (k-12) and these kids wont know what you are talking about, it is sad but true. Untill recently I was happy living my day to day free in America life, well BS, our gov't is so corrupt and runs everything we are so blinded, start with Media, we are shown what they want us to see, does Terrisiom ring a bell (tell a lie long enough and it will be believed), our entertainment industry-thats what American citizens are concerned about, the new movies that are out, the endless sporting events to watch or go to, music concerts, theme parks ect..... I'm not saying these are bad but they are exsessive, young people dont give a damn who the mayor-sherriff-governor-congressman or even president is, they only think about what and where they are going\to do for the weekend.
I am a TRU-AMERICAN but I dont like how mine or my kids future looks,
I'm sure I wont benefit from SS to be continued..........

Exactly, I'll be 46 in March I do still remember the pledge. We said it every morning at the start of class when I was growing up. I have the same concerns about the future of this country, for us and our kids. Your dead on about everyone being preoccupied with how to stay entertained rather than stay involved. I tell you it's scarey to watch the things take place that are happening right now, completely unchecked by anyone!

I cannot believe you folks believe that political propaganda!! Anyone that has a problem with the good ole' U.S.A., PLEASE pack your shXt and get the hell out, I will gladly pay your way anywhere in the world, just renounce your USA citizenship and packup!! Name one country you can have the freedom you are afforded here. That is what I thought. Now, I am not saying we are without problems, and some of them being major ones, but we ARE A FREE COUNTRY!! If you do not believe it, then go to any other country and wear a t shirt trashing your government, see how long it is before you are imprisoned or even killed for it! You think that pos Cindy Sheehan could have spoke out against any other country than ours and live to tell about it? I hate her guts, but MY son and many other sons and daughters fought, and died, so she, and the rest of The United States of America could speak withour fear of political repercussions.
Smoking, that is another issue, I do not want your stinking, cancer causing garbage smoke in my office or home. On the other hand, I don't give a damn if you smoke in a bar, your car, your home, your yard, because I HAVE a choice if I want to be there or not. I HAVE no choice about being in my office, I DO have to work, and I damn sure won't let you light up in my home. Smokers dying in the hospital due to lung cancer with no insurance, non helmet wearing bikers with no insurance, non seat belt users with no insurance, guess who has to pay for all that they cannot pay for,WE DO with our tax dollars. I could go on and on, but I am not. I am not a believer in "big brother" taking care of me. I have to ask, your rights as a smoker outweigh my right not to have to smell the stinking thing? I think not! Folks, wise up to the toll it takes on our American work force, tax dollars, grieving families, not to mention the agony of dying of cancer. I do know, I am a retired medical professional that has it up close and personal.
Many, many honorable men and women have died so YOU can sit at home on your Bon Bon eating asses and complain about "how bad our country is", one of those men being MY son, Jay was killed on Oct.21, 2005 by a roadside bomb along with three more very, very brave men. Read my profile and you will see my real life hero! It isn't John Force or Doug Herbert (I hope God gets him through this hard road he is facing after losing his boys), or Superman or Captain America ,it is my son and EVERY AMERICAN that put on a military uniform and wore it with honor! I thank God EVERY day I wake up in America!! You should too!
THANK YOU TO ALL MILITARY PERSONEL, regardless of your branch THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
I rarely feel the need to voice such a strong response to anything, life is just to short to be mad all day, but, today wasn't the day.
In closing, if I offended anybody in any way, well, I really am not sorry for it at all! After all, it IS a free country, so I can speak my mind without worrying that I might be murdered for it. Semper Fi!! I wonder if anyone that has not been in the USMC know what that means?
One more suggestion, if you do not like our elected by the people officials, notice I said elected BY THE PEOPLE, then get your butt out from behind your keyboard and run for office if you think you can do a better job!! Too busy racing, going to ball games, etc. Hell, I often wonder about how many folks forming an opinion actually took their asses out into the cold to vote for that elected official. If you DID NOT vote, then your opinion about the condition of our country means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
Goodnight,
Rudy

Olds48,
I noticed that you failed to mention our son Jay, it makes me feel like you didn't read my post entirely and understand this was not directed to you my fellow American.
Let me clear the air , after reading your post, I re-read mine. The ONLY thing I will apologize for is the opening sentence. It should have read
" I cannot believe the folks that would believe this political propaganda", as for the cussing, well I really do not no what to say. I can't imagine you do not hear those minor cuss words in every day life, and I also wonder why other folks can use the "lite" cuss words in the forum and not have anything said to them. No big deal to me though, I am like a duck, it just roles off my back. And yes, I read your writings entirely.
As for your friends and family that are in the military, please tell them we thank them from the very bottom of our hearts and we hope God keeps them safe and brings them home if they have to go to fight for us. Tell them all that if they as well as yourself are ever near Landis, NC,(10 minutes from Mooresville Dragway) please come by, we have an open door at all times at our home, love to share our great memories of our sons' passion filled, but very short 19 years with us over some very good country cookin'. I mean it Olds, come eat our food, share the memories and see some cool cars.
As for me being rude, other than the opening line, take a straw poll and see who thinks I was being rude, if I lose in the poll then you can bet an apology will flow across my lips! I didn't single out a single person with the exception of the sorry excuse for a human Cindy Sheehan (Do you know who she is?). I think you assumed I directed it at you, not even close, I directed it all at the folks that it pertains too. You not being one of them because I DID read your post.I am here to make friends, share memories of family, good times and cool rides, and to be a part of the community, if I stir up some controversy, it is not my intention. Just a broken hearted Dad who will always speak his mind.
So, Olds48, I hope this clears this up a bit, I would like to keep you on my side of the fence! Come by if you are ever in Mooresville or just passing through and need a break from the road!
Semper Fi!!

Cussing don't bother me.Like you said about a duck,I'm a big boy and my skin is thicker than that. But it does bother me when it is directed at me.BUT, if you say it was not directed at me then I just took it wrong. No need to apologize for that. You speak your mind,I'll speak mine. That's what America is all about, right? If you make me mad,I'll tell ya.If I make you mad tell me,and we'll sort it out.I didn't mention your son cause I never knew him.I have no idea how you feel, and probably never will. But believe me when I say that your son is a HERO to me.I truly mean that.As long as your for America,we'll always be on the "same side of the fence" :D .All is well, big guy.I think alot of what we mean gets lost in translation with these keyboards  Have a good day and I'll holler at you later. Eric,
Thanks man! I always love to hear our son mentioned, it is the only way to keep us sane at times. Always on the honor roll, always respectful to others, bull rider, horseman, and all around wonderful human being. Keep on loving America, it makes me feel like his death was not without reason.
I have to share this story:
We were at the funeral home for Jays wake, standing there greeting the folks that have come to pay their respects. I hate to say this, but I remember very little of all the kind words spoken that night. A young boy about 12 or so stood in front of me and told me he loved my son. My reply was, thank you son, many people do. He asked if I knew what Jay had done for him. I had no clue I told him. He said, your son gave me a saddle because my Mom and Dad could only afford the horse for him at that time. The horse was being purchased from the horse ranch Jay worked at.
Jay was tending the horses and overheard the conversation between the boy and his parents, promptly, without thought, took his $500.00 saddle off of his horse and put it on the boys new horse and told him the only requirement to be the owner of this new saddle, was to never sell or give it away. I paid for that saddle, and I am very tough on irresponsibility, no matter who it is.
Jay rolls up in his truck that evening, I saw him walking up the drive, head hung low. I knew there was a problem right away. I met him on the porch and asked him what was wrong.
Dad, you are going to kill me, Sarah and I went to Hardees, I left my saddle in the back of the truck and it was gone when we came out. Needless to say, I went balistic! For the next week, he hand dug the trench for the new water supply to the barn, 2' deep, approx. 200 feet from the well, loaded hay for no pay and generally got his tail worked to the point of exhaustion, never, ever complaining one time.
The young boy offered to give the saddle back to our family, I told him no way! That gift came from the heart of a great man. Don't know why I told you all this, guess it was time to talk about him some more!
I know he told me a fib, but I also know it was because he was the most humble person I have EVER known in my lifetime. God as my witness and I hope I am struck down if lying, that is the ONLY lie anyone in our family can remember him telling (not saying he didn't get away with one some other time). I never, ever heard him say one bad thing about anyone at anytime in his life. We honor him by trying to live by the standards he set for us. I never realized my true real hero, was living under our roof until it was too late.
Got to go, tears are flowing to heavy now.
Please look at our profile and you will see pics of Jay, tell him THANKS.
