mid mount question

I just got a S-10 and it has both mid mount brackets and a stock looking trans mount that I am not for sure fits the truck, because it looks heavily modified. My question is that if I use a mid mount will I need to use the trans mount? I am planning on using a front plate as well. Any help would be great

yes all front plate cars with mid-plates still run a tranny cross member.
i personally would not soild mount the tranny to the cross member becuase it needs to flex to help prevent case cracking..
