I saw this ad on here and almost fell outta my chair laughing.. This guy has a Datsun pick up on here saying it ran 4.70's with a mild BBC. Now I've heard some lou lou's but damn this guy is a real card. The truck has NO CAGE this guy has some ball's.. If ya'll wanted to see this PRO MOD killer it's at ad 1018307 and 101820.. I'm not bashing the guy I just thought the ad was funny. :D

It doesn't say mild big block just big block. Says it has a 350-turbo350 in it now. I didn't see if it had a cage or not. Could have had a bad ass big block in it at one time. Not taking up for one or the other but I don't put down anybody without all the facts.

hey i tried to pull up ad # and could not locate..
please post thread..

and Gimmethakick not saying the truck could or could not run the 4.70 et pass without seeing it..
but you can rest assure there are many of us that can look at a pic and tell you if the 4.70 et range is close to being true or not..

4.70's back to 5.0's is in a league all by itself..it takes a speacial car, driver the whole shoot bang and kabootle..

my question now ..where is ad ? and i will pass my judgement down and will not hesitate about it.

The only way is if that car ran with the Supercharged Outlaws/Warriors/Thunder or whatever they are now. Rather than that, not a chance in hell that truck has been 4.70's. I do like his trade request.

It doesn't say what length track either. A local track had a problem with a short shutdown area and had to go to 500 ft drags. About 1.2 seconds off a 1/8 mile time...

ladder bar Four Link Suspention
never heard of a ladder bar Four Link. must be something new. could be where the 4.70 et came from, and the divorce

we use to race at a track around here built new with a short shut down. they switched over to a 466ft distance after seeing the car counts were not as expected thus thinking a shorter distance would be the same effect, but after one season they just t/t there now. anyhow, my car went 5.13 there and in comparison to a 6.40 in 660ft everywhere else

he better put a flashing light on that high wing to keep planes from hitting it. man that thing is up in the air. does he think its a rail? lol

If it will go down the track under a 6.0 that will shock me. There is no upper bars connected to the rear frame anywhere i can see and you can believe it won't leave straight like it is on a launch that's hard enough to cover a back door 5.90 ET.
No way that thing could even think about going a 4.70 even in a 466ft beam finish line and i don't want to be standing anywhere near a guard rail if it's sprayed.
I've been at a drag strip basically racing year rd for over 15 years. Seen it all at one time or the other...........No Way! lol

The sad situation is that he may rope some kid into buying it , and he may kill himself trying to run it.
If that truck would run 6.0 with a good b/blk it would amaze me and i'll bet that would be a handfull to drive.

ok i saw the truck and NO way has he ran a 4.70et in the proper 1/8 mile distance.....

NO WAY......I say no way to 6.0's in the 1/8,,,i will go as far to say it may have stood a chance at 8.0's maybe 7.80's pushing it in 1/8 mile....

if you have ever trully run a true 6.0 ET ( i'm sure many of you have)..then you know why i say this...not as easy to get there as one would like to think.

The Vega I have on my profile run a 5.90 in a 1/8 with a 434 BBC and a little NOS and the front wheels in the air passed the 60' with a 1.31 60'. When I saw this truck I knew this guy was NUT'S. I just hope no one buy's this thing and get's hurt. Ya'll be safe 8)
