Quite frequently, with Honda it is the coil in the distributor. Easy fix.

Guys please re-read this post..the man claims his car will "CRANK"but the plugs are not firing....this is IMPOSSIBLE.....the plugs have to fire in order for the car to crank..I consider cranking the same thing as starting/running....Now unless i have missed something with imports..i still think the 3 basics apply to an engine cranking /running..

1- fuel
2- fire
3- air

will not run without all 3 present ..at least the engines i deal with anyhway.

maybe he thinks a motor spinning over is considered cranking..i don't know....

Bjuice ... The point is why not wait for you to reply here rather than ask you to e-mail him an asnwer. he wants your e-mail address!

Must be a difference in how we say things in different parts of the states. Up here in Michigan most of us consider cranking as the starter is turning the engine over, but engine not running. Same as "spinning it over".

AND I wouldn't send an e-mail either. If they post here, they should check for an answer here.

uhhh ok ..yeah i saw that "i do not personally e-mail unless i know you)..i was just reading some replys and got confused on the terminology..."cranking" vs "starting"...
in the South if your cranking it your in business...same with starting..

i guess i DO NOT get the spam e-mail thing..when i get on-line its on a racing forum thats about it...

later.

Honda,s have an Ignition/igniter module in the distributor Its very commen for them to take a dump. Its more cost effective to replace the intire distributor with a reman or used unit . But with a used unit you get what you paid for
