Anyone ever deal with "wlpatterson"

I bought a set of 990 heads off of wlpatterson, The Ad was #972706. I paid for the heads, Recieved them and they were not as described. I contacted him and told him that I wasn't happy with them and that I wanted a refund. He then agreed to give me a refund after I shipped the heads back. I did ship them back, He confirmed recieving them and told me that I would recieve my refund on Tuesday. Its now Friday and have tried contacting him and no replys back. I hope I didn't get scammed again!!! This will be the second time on Racing Junk, The First time was with that Micheal Aviles, By the way does anyone know if he's been caught? I know they have his brother already. I'm going to file a claim against wlpatterson if I don't hear from him or recieve my funds back soon. :x

I have delt with Wayne,he is a great guy,he is no scammer trust me.

I think your just jumping the gun,if he told you he'd refund your money,he will.

Some times it just takes a little bit of time to get things sorted out.

But Wayne Patterson is a good honest fellow,there just must be more to the story,I am sure Wayne will come here and tell his side also.He does frequently visit this board

I'm sure he is, It just worry's me a bit because of being scammed on here before. I haven't heard from him either after I left him a message concerning my refund. He said it would be here Tuesday and its already Friday and no refund. I'm just seeing if anyone has ever delt with him before. I didn't say anything negative in my post, I was just concerned is all.

Well so far I feel like I've been taken, He's had the heads I shipped back over a week now and as of now I still have no refund. I just think its bad way of doing business, I should have recieved my funds back by now. He still hasn't contacted me back to let me know what is going on either.

I have sent him his money registered mail of which I have a reciept!!-He wanted these heads & I sent pictures & answered his questions as honest as I could--He got them & decided they werent what he wanted so I told him to send them back & I would refund his money(less paypal cost & shipping) I wasnt going to be out any money--He did send them & I also sent him a postal moneyorder registered mail --I just returned from NM & will follow up tomorrow AM--The first thing he did when he recieved the heads is file a complaint against me with paypal without ever contacting me??I had no problem refunding his money but I can assure him,doing that to most people & they will tell him to get pumped when its refund time--I dont scam,steal or screw people,Im the one thats got that deal on here!!--Thanx--He also has my ph#--why havent you called? I could have eased your worries without all the crap!! Also I want to thank the guys for the positive feedback--

Sounds like you have never heard of due diligence.
Giving wl a chance to respond and get you a refund.
wl is a good guy and you have tried to marr his image here.

If you had done your homework and been a little patient none of this would have happened.

wl is also right, if you had bought them from me and just for the sake of changing your mind, I would have told you to go pound sand. No Refund PERIOD.

In my mind your lucky he is such a good guy!

Third of all I've been taken before and work very hard for my money. So yes your opinion is just worth about 2 cents. I didn't bash him on here, I was inquiering about him only. I didn't know he was out of town and haven't heard from him. I sent him the heads last week and he said he mailed my funds out last week. Only should have taken 3 days at the most to send something registered mail and its been over a week and still nothing. So apparently you are the ONLY ONE that works hard for their money.
I have had similar things happen to me as well, but I have NEVER gone to the authorities, paypal etc without first using up ALL other avenues first.
Our opinions are only worth 2 cents to you, that is cool, just remember that wl had NO obligation to refund you any monies.

You never did say what was wrong with the heads, only that they were not as described.

You were out a few hundred correct?
Last year alone I lost over 5 grand to scammers and dead beats, but not once did I mention anything to anyone until it was made crystal clear that I had to get an attorney or file in court, then I made it public.

You were wrong to not give wl a chance and you are wrong about us.
We watch out for our own.

Ratt..i been reading this and NO doubt i think you over reacted a little bit from sqaure one...you SHOULD have tried to call Mr patterson before taking the steps to complain on him to pay pal.....

i DO NOT see where there is a problem inquiry on someone on RJ Board as u did,but it was a little more than that..you had already lodged a complaint with PAY PAL and was already convinced you were being scammed by WL......

so bottom line if you ever get in this spot again at least try to contact the person before jumping the gun....

thats the real point here..

i sent a moneyorder to a person off RJ for a set of pistons[priorty mail even]a month went by and still no moneyorder at his end..we kept in contact about it but he never bashed me on RJ about it.we agreed to give it another week and if not showed up then i'd send him another money-order and if the first one ever showed up he would send it back to me..WE WORKED IT OUT BETWEEN US INSTEAD OF FILLING COMPLAINTS AND ALL THE BS]2 days later he contacted me saying moneyorder showed up BUT looked like it was thowed in waste basket and then dug back out..and looked at postdate on letter and date on moneyorder and both was dated the day i said i sent out..
long story short is just because mail says 2 or 3 days to make it ;; don't depend on that..

I have never had any problems Buying or selling, I have sold and bought over 400 things on Ebay with 100% positive feedback. I still haven't recieved the funds and think that I should have had my money back by now.

You have made it abundantly clear that you feel you should have your money in hand by now.

In some ways I do agree.
Have you taken the time to talk to wl and find out when it was mailed?
WL sent it registered so he could track it for you, maybe instead of getting on here and complaining you do not have your $, maybe call wl, apologize for turning him into paypal and ask him to track your letter.

That to me is the intelligent thing to do.

PS you say you never had a problem so what is this????

I sent him $800 for the heads and shipping, Then I had to spend another $118 to ship the heads back so I now have a Total of $918 out there and nothing to show for it

The $118.00 is not his problem.
You wanted the heads, paid for them and then only after you got them you decide you do not like them for whatever reason.

You still have not said anything about calling wl to track your refund.

My opinion is you need to call Mr. Patterson or quit whinning. He has done his part, he states it has been mailed out registered and when you send registered mail you get a tracking number, call him or get over it.

First of all the Heads he sold were junk and they were not what he stated. They were not machine shop fresh, They had Old crappy valves, Bad springs, Milled down way too much and look like they had been sitting for a while. So yes I have a right to be angry, Ithey were "Fresh" I would have kept them and there wouldn't have been a problem. I'm done with this now, Guess I'll just chalk this up as a lesson learned once again.

Im not going to get in a name calling match over this crap--Bottom line is the REG letter went out 10/04/07 & I sent him all the #s including the MO# also the heads are machine shop fresh & the intake valves are new--They have been milled which I thought he understood through the questions he asked--I have all reciepts for the MO & Reg mail but Im not sure how much trouble I will go to for tracking--after claiming the heads are junk--Isnt that kinda like calling me A Thief?? Mr Patterson..this man has got on here and really made himself look bad in my opinion and the opinion of others who think logically..
if the man would have called you it would not have gone anywhere..

i personally feel you should not even have to feel like you have to make a response to this post and defend yourself.

the man keeps getting on here and stating he feels this and that ..but will never own UP TO THE FACT HE MADE A MISTAKE IN FAILING TO CONTACT YOU weather he was disatisfied with the heads or wondering where his money is..(owning up to his mistake would have went a long way with me anyhow)
he also claims he is not saying anything bad about you or making any suggestions BUT on the other hand he files a COMPLAINT ON YOU WITH PAY-PAL...then he comes on RJ and makes a post "INQUIRY" about you in the "SCAMMER SECTION"........

then tries to tell everyone ( ON RJ FORUM) that he approached this situation in a humble open hand style...which to me and others is a SLAP in the face and a BIG insult to our intelligence.

We "DO PROTECT" our own on this board but i will be the 1st to tell you that if YOU OR ANYONE ELSE WAS IN THE WRONG ON THIS DEAL YOUR HEAD WOULD HAVE ROLLED...
just happened to be the man lodging the "INQUIRY" as he put it was not only 100% in the wrong..but WILL NOT own up to where he made the mistake of NOT CONTACTING YOU before making his "inquiries" and lodging the complanit with PAY-Pal..

If your heads were good, I would have kept them. "Birds of a Feather, Flock Together" I have recieved a dime and if anyone lives near you, Show them the heads and see if they use them on thier car.
