Hey everybody!! first post here.. Just got back from the dyno room at my engine builders shop. The best pull was logged at 725.4 hp at 7050 and 600.4 ft/lbs of torque at 5900.
The BBC build consist of Callies magnum 4.25 crank, 4.360 bore with
custom JE pistons at 13.2. AFR cnc / full port 335cc heads, Victor Jr cnc
port from AFR..T & D shaft mount competition roller rockers, Oiver billet rods, custom billet cam from LSM ( close to .800 lift), custom built 4150
holley bench flowed at 1080cfm professional built by a professor from
Arizona. Jesel belt drive and 55 gal water pump and 110 VP Racing gas.
What is everbody else turning??? Are my numbers good??

I have been involved with VP fuels for the last 12 years. I have alot of dyno time with various engines . not bragging. I would not recommend the vp110. It does not have the octane for your engine and rpm range.it was made for a comparative fuel to sunoco 110. try using C12. its alittle lighter so jet up a touch.3% it should make a surprising difference. dont be afraid to jet up more, this fuel response well. let us know how you do.

First off welcome to the forum.
Thats a pretty good pull but I think you got more there to be tapped.
Ive personally seen 13 to 1 496's with smaller cams make 750hp and 650 torque with an outta box HP 1050 dominator.

No dyno is the same as the next #'s can be happy or not. Your #'s are in the ballpark of what they should be. I changed parts half this year thinking my stuff should be faster being it made big power on the dyno, one day a friend says "we dont race dyno's" made lots of sense

You have more there to be found.I would expect at least 150 more H.P. from that combination.were getting that much with a 420 cu.in. SB2.2 small block at the wheels on a dynojet chassis dyno through a quick change. can you post your dyno chart so we can see what the problem may be? the 110 octane fuel could be a big part of the problem if you couldn't run the amount of advance necessary. IMO 110 is fine, i've did this test on the track on a 13:1 & 14:1 motor, switched from 110 to 114 and seen no difference but price of it.

If it were me i'd ditch the 4150 for a 1050 dominator.

We were running a simular combo in our dragster. Ours was a 509 with Pro1 345 heads Brodix intake and a 1050 dominator. We pulled 820Hp. What we noticed with some cam swaps was huge gains and a few more by going to a newer dominator (gained 12HP from an old 1050 2 circuit to a new 1050 3 circuit)

My 511ci BBC is making a little over 800 hp...pretty much the same engine except my cam is much much smaller...7.22-7.22 lunati..

yes i think you have more there.

thanks Brian
