Overhauled a B&M Racing TH-400, full manual, transbrake, reverse pattern.

I am missing the right possition of the ball that goes in the valve body (only one ball for this racing trans)

Anyone that could help me find the right possition of that ball?

Thanks,

Oliver

Thanks, I already did. By the way, called B&M in California and they do not want to tell me. Do not want to give or sell me installation instructions on the overhaul kit(which I bought from Summit).

Can not send the tranny to a shop in USA as I am located in Panama, Central America. It would be cheaper to buy a new one than sending it to the states and back to Panama.

Thanks,

Oliver

The ball goes in the valve body close to the manual valve in a small pocket that should have a small coil spring wedged into it. If you look at the separator plate there will be a hole above where the ball goes into the valve body that is approx .155" dia.

Hope this helps, Hutch

I'm not going to say I know for sure where the ball goes. But in my expreience with this kind of problem, the best way to figure it out is clean the seperator plate clean and look across the surface for the hole that has a shiny bevel around it. To help farther, you only have six places that it sits in. Look for the hole that is shiny as the ball will rub it when it applies. That is the place it goes. Won't work with a factory plate as well due to all of them having shiny around them to some degree. Hope that helps.
