Tire Paint??

What is the paint you put on the slicks? It's not shoe polish, I tried that. Not the stuff in the letters the mark on the tire that looks like a pie? And why? For some type of counting? :roll:

Well I found out why you paint the tires, now I just need to find some paint. Here is why: This gives us a reference point when we video tape the car. We can tell if the tires are spinning too much when the car leaves the starting line. We can also tell if the tires are distorting which may indicate a chassis change. (some good info)

For my M/T's I just cut a stensil out of cardboard and used white spray paint to bring back the lettering. Spray paint worked great. Summit also sells a paint marker for the same thing.
