As many of you know I have been employed by the Idaho State Government as a Tax collection specialist.
Mostly involving skip tracing dead beat tax payers and doing audits.
I just decided to leave that position and take a position in the private sector. I will be going back to a previous employer that has made me an off I could not turn down.
The new position will pay me about $1200.00 a month more than I was making with the State.
So I have had mixed emotions.
I need to tell someone so you guys are it.
Thanks for listening.

Hey Carl;
Good luck to ya, if that's what ya want to do, go for it.
Changing jobs/careers is a big thing to most guys. Like your first run on a new motor, not sure what's goin' ta happen. I just hope it's not all about "more money". That's nice and all, but if that's all there is to it, sometimes it might not be worth it in the end. Like Granpappy said, "Do what makes ya happy boy, and screw the rest."
P.S. Lookin' at the same situation end of January next year myself.
Best of Luck!

Thanks guys...
The only place I will chase down scammers is here....I still have connections, including a US Attorney.
I will not have my own secratary, I have to share.
Not sure about a consultant, but your on my A list Perry.
The Company does computer software testing.
I will be going back in a supervisory role, and it is something I really do enjoy. What I did with the state was cool, but not what I could see myself doing for the next 20 years.
Your right Al, making this type of job/career change at this age is a big thing and I spent a few sleepless nights lamenting over what to do.
I feel like I made the right choice, not just because of the money, but I am going to be doing what I like....the only other thing I would change for is a professional drag racing gig and lol, I really doubt at my age I can get in a T/F dragster...lololol
So, all in all I am looking forward to going back but still have a few butterflies...I mean even though I am going back to a former employer I still have to prove myself again and there will be a lot of new faces to get used to.
