BEWARE OF This Guy !!!!! [email protected] or jimsprostreet on racing junk. James E. Ryan 1103 South Oak Av. Freeport Il. 61032. He Is A Real Peace Of Work...Sold Him $2,000.00 worth of engine parts and shipped it to him Fed Ex fright only to find out his check is no good. I took his check in good faith but should have gave it two weeks to clear (my fault)but I thought he was on the up and up. Just like all scammers he wont return phone calls or email. Just thought the rest of us buyers and sellers might stay away from this guy and dont TRUST ANYBODY like I did. If anybody knows were he is please let me know. This is my first time getting stiffed for this amount and dont know what to do to recoupe the $2,250.00 that I am out of. Thanks....

Looks like you learned a hard lesson here....Never and I mean Never send parts before the check clears unless you know this person or are certain he is as good as his word.

I learned that as a teenager while with my fathers business.

I am sorry about what happened, turn it over to the police, post office and internet fraud division.

Get your money back and post details about this person, we have a tendency to help those that have truly been scammed.

Post his name, address, phone etc.

Now i am amost 100% sure you can go to a local magistrate in his home town and take out a fraudgulent check warrant on him.....i know your probaby a good ways from him...some small courts will let you do this by mail..

Where I am from that amount would make it a pretty good felony. Not to menton the US Mail and all that. Roscoe and Enos would love it cuff'em an stuff'em.

transmax98, Please read the first three post in this section and take the advise given..You will have better chance of trying these tried and proven ways to recoup money than any way I know, and not put yourself in harms way or in trouble with the law yourself...Good luck and there are people on here than can do alot with the info you supply about the finding this man.....and we especially love getting them in trouble with the law, it seems to be what they want so give it to them...

I just want to take the time to all of you who gave me great advice on how to recoupe my money back from the scam artist JAMES E. RYAN aka jimsprostreet, [email protected] Also want to thank the Freeport Police Dept for there fine job in finding him. A note to all: Dont ship till the check clears, Wait 30 days if it is a out of state check. Its a real shame that people do these things to other people, but with friends like I have found here on racingjunk.com it makes it a little easy knowing they care and are willing to help. Again I want to say THANK YOU... :)
