I have approximately 25 gallons of Sunoco Supreme 112 race fuel that is in a sealed 55 gallon steel drum and kept in the garage. Does the fuel loose octane or go bad since last season? Thanks. :D

I've heard, although not personally experienced, that if it is sealed in a metal container it will last several months.

But the only way to find out for sure is for you to send it my way to test. Be forewarned though, it might take all 25 gallons to figure out!

:D

With a little effort I could have the test completed in just over an hour!

I also have about half of a drum of Sunoco 112 for last spring. A friend of mine told me to go buy about 20 gallons of fresh fuel to mix with it. Just a thought but you could always mix some fresh fuel with your old stuff.

i have left over fuel every year, no big deal just burn it up first! as long as it has been sealed up so no moisture gets in, it's not a problem.

If it is sealed it will still be good. Think of how long some of those barrels sit in a warehouse before they are bought and shipped out. Sitting in your garage is no different.

Ive heard of using nitrogen in the drum above the fuel , that will deffintly keep it good.! no air no degrading!!!

Thanks everyone for info. I brought my engine to the dyno yesterday and ran the Sunoco Sumpreme 112 from last years barrel and it did well!!
