Attention RJ shoppers we need a High Level Executive to come and erase this thread as it seems Bowers Racing Engines is being accused "AGAIN" of sitting on someones money and not producing the product he was paid for....And sir, YES there is a good chance you have been ripped off, but rest assured your situation is going to receive alot of comments....

Procharger might say they cant do much But since they did instruct you to go to Bowers to buy their product instead of directly through them it can be argued that they are partially liable and make them assist you in either getting your money back or the product you purchased. Its a long reach But I dont think they would like any bad publicity for being associated with bowers.Just mt 2cents

cheers for that- i rang them 2 weeks ago and asked whether it had been shipped. they said thet wouldnt really know with a tracking number- i thought a f3r going to New Zealand would be a bit of a novalty  i must say ive purchased 3 drag cars from the us- no probs, until now. doesnt bowers drive a race car?

Buyer if you do come to the USA I would see how I could get my money back for the plane ticket as I am in Cameroon,Africa right now and know that plane tickets are not cheap.I also seen that Bret Bowers was selling Pro Chargers on RJ and call Pro Charger myself and ask if he was a dealer and the woman told me no they only had one dealer in Denver Co. so I asked to talk to the manager and he told me that he was able to sell a Pro Charger. He asked me why I was asking about him and I sent him to Scammers on RJ and shortly there after his ads where gone.Thats all i know I dont know who took them off but they are gone all at once and that was all about a month and a half ago. A freind told me of the troubles on this site with Bowers and after reading both threads I had to reply.I purchased a 540" merlin based from him last year and am very satisfied withthe product. It did take a little longer than expected but that seems to be the norm in the hot rod biz.I dont feel he is a scammer just overloaded. Also i had no troubles getting in touch with him,if i left a message i got a call back within a day or two.

Phoenix69 I am very happy for you that you had a good experience with your engine being build and that is the way that I think it should be when you are spending your hard earned money. Bret I am thankful that you gave him a good experience. Thats what makes Hot Rodding so much fun otherwise we would not do it.Wesley

Welcome and thanks for joining RJ today and telling us your experience with BOWERS RACING ENGINES....But please read your own statement that I highlighted and would that be the way you would run a business :?: ALso you missed some of the original posts as for some reason they got erased, but I do not think that will be happening again....Unfortunately some of his customers are not a lucky as you were because they paid their money and were getting nothing for it and that is scamming...Thanks again..

I'd make one more call to his local police department.
If I had the proper info on this guy,
name address etc,I'd get you the hook up

If you have any records..emails, and phone records ...Phone Visa and tell them your problem, if the Visa is through your Bank go into the Bank. I know Visa can cancel the transaction. I friend of mine was trying to buy a rotating assembly from a company in CA and after 2 months of pain and suffering he went into his bank with a record of phone calls and emails and they reversed the transaction .. I even phoned the company and asked for the same assembly and they told me, it would be ready to ship in 5-7 days. As soon as he realized Visa Nuked the transaction he was on the phone screaming, my buddy asked him flat out, "When will it ship?" and was told 5-7 days. Remember Visa is there to help you.

thats a very interesting comment. if you speak to the manufacturer and they give you their name- one would think that that would be enough- may be not huh?

Buyer listen and I am going to tell you this as loud as I can...YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE THE WAY YOUR HANDLING THE SITUATION AND YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY THIS WAY :!: ....Now you need to read some of the other post and look at the actions these people are instructed to do. Follow what others have done and then perhaps you will get your money, but til you can start to force the actions and Bowers thinks he is looking at going to jail or your credit card company helps you then you are wasting your and our time.. QUIT WAITING ON BOWERS, HE IS A SCAMMER AND HAS MADE A EFFORT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND KEEP IT....NOW DO YOU GET IT :?: I am not trying to be a smart ass but you keep posting the same pitiful posts and taking no action....Til you assert more than a phone call to BOWERS RACING ENGINES you are getting nothing $$...
