PayPal Scam??

Just posted our first ad on Racing Junk today. Tonight we get a text stating that they will pay full price, (sight unseen) thru PayPal and have a hauler ready to pick up in two days.
Seen this scam before, but never using PayPal.
Told him we were not interested.
Is PayPal not so secure anymore?
