Anyone dealt with him? He called me about my Racing Junk ad for 4.155" Wiseco pistons and 6.000" Eagle rods. Offered to buy them without much discussion. My ad stated UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE money order only. He wanted to transfer money via Bank of America and I said no. He then asked if I would take a personal check. I repeated I wanted a money order. He said Post office is 30 minutes away and California is all under water. I said OK if you don't mind waiting until the check clears my and your bank. Today I got a check from him. He did not seem to be shady at all, but I don't know how long to wait after depositing his check to see if the check is good. I don't know if my bank will check with his bank or not. Do it or return the check or tear it up?

Deposit the check and wait 2-3 weeks to make sure it clears

I decided to call the guy back and see what we could work out. He agreed if I would hold the check and the parts until he could get to a Post Office, he would get Postal money order and call me the serial number.

Its been a few days since Gion Sclippa of Placerville CA. agreed over the phone to go and get a Postal money order and call me with the serial number for me to hold my 416" SBC pistons and rods. Not heard from him since.

This afternoon I received a Postal money order from Gian Sclippa. So all is good and will be shipping his parts out first of next week.
