View Full Version : Low ball prices on 5 ads in HoT Rod section of ads

Yesterday I noticed 5 ads in a row in the Hot Rod section of RJ ads that look suspicious. They are all from NEW members, All are pictures of higher end quality cars for less that $20,000. All are from different cites. 2 Corvettes, 55 Chevy restomod, 70 454 SS Chevelle.
What would be the reason for someone to do that? Scammer or just prankster?
I flagged them all to RJ staff, but no response yet.

What is the purpose of the ads? Are they trying to get personal info? Do they really believe someone will send them money without seeing it in person? Are they trying to get into ones bank account?

Its hard to say, maybe they are digging for emails or just that one guy that will stupidly send money. They are on RJ all the time, I flag about 10-15 a month myself

Racing Junk got back to me on the 5 ads I flagged. They have removed all five ads now.

If it wasn't for guys like you and Harbone, RJ would be full of these scammers. Thank you for the effort you
put into this. RJ should also give thanks to you guys for doing what they should be at least monitoring.
