Electric Water pumps.

Anyone ever use an electric water pump for street use? I just traded for a 68 Camaro with a 383 Stoker engine with a electric water pump. I always thought the electric pumps were mostly for drag racing applications. Appreciate any feed back.

I have before but on long road trips it wasnt enough flow to keep the motor cool
