Welcome to KOTM 3.0! On August 26-28, 2021 UMI Motorsports Park will once again host the greatest show in autocross. We’ll have 120 incredible cars driven by many of the best drivers in the country battling for $25,001 under the lights. Last year's event kept the crowd on edge until the very last run and the backstory was worthy of a bestseller. Andy Smedegard in the Alex Moss SuperK and local hero Jeremy McCauley found themselves in an epic battle of speed, precision, tears and jubilation. KOTM 3.0 will feature four classes (Super Late, Late, Mid-muscle and Vintage) working to fill 8 spots each in the top-32. When the smoke clears we’ll have four class champions but only one will be King of the Mountain! Inaugural winner Jeremy “Brute Force” Swenson is hungry to repeat while 2.0 winner “Techno-Wizard” Andy Smedegard has a few tricks up his sleeve to secure the crown. But first they have to get past many other hungry drivers with untold numbers of championships under their belts. The King will receive a BIG check, this time for $15,000. The remaining amount will be spread through the top-8, which should make for a great group of happy drivers.
Qualifying for the 32 car shootout will take place on Friday and Saturday with free admission to the hill and stands. On Saturday evening the gates will open at 5pm in anticipation of the $25,001 shootout. Bangshift Chad Reynolds will be on hand to get the capacity crowd fired up to eat some great food (concessions onsite), drink some cold beverages and watch the best drivers and fastest autocross cars in the country battle under the lights with big money on the line.
