Our first car was a simple inline six cylinder, 1968 Chevelle, which was converted into a car that conformed to the rules of the Pro Street D.O.T class of racing; this class was designed to have drag cars which had to have D.O.T approved tires, mufflers that exited behind the front doors and 50% of the total weight of the car had to be on the front of the car. First starting out with a 509 c.i. big block Chevrolet engine and a Powerglide, we were the first to break into the 8 second barrier with an 8.86 ET, making our car the quickest street car in America. In 1996 we converted the car yet again to accommodate a blown alcohol engine built by Jim Oddy; with that motor we were able to get down to our quickest and fastest time of 7.62 at 190 MPH.
After selling the car in 1998, we are now building a new car with the intensions of racing the popular class of Drag Radial, which is similar to what we were racing before. With a 540 c.i., blown big block Chevrolet, Turboglide 400 and 315 drag radials, our goal is to set new records and hurt feelings.
