Callies Ultra billets are machined from Premium Grade (Para-Pure) Timken alloy steel. From the raw materials, through the foundry to Callies plant in Fostoria Ohio, these crankshafts are 100% MADE in USA. This high quality Timken steel alloy has been formulated to create a level of toughness that is unmatched in the crankshaft industry. The fully counter-weighted design and heat treatments further increase the torque these cranks can handle.
Each Ultra billet crankshaft is uniquely machined with Ultra-Shed counterweight profiles. The Ultra-Shed leading edge profile gently moves oil away from the oncoming counterweight while the directional trailing edge directs oil away from the oncoming rod journal. Callies' Aero-Shed super finish will gives a crankshaft that is totally stress-riser free and incredibly aero efficient. When the Ultra-Shed and Aero-Shed processes are combined, the result is a crankshaft with the lowest coefficient of drag in the industry.
Our part number BRE007749 as shown features - 2.750 inch Mains, 4.000 inch Stroke, 6.000 Rod, 2.100 Pins, has no reluctor wheel and is factory rough-balanced to our specification. It is intended for use with the Dart LS Next2 block which uses Ford Cleveland style mains.
