Here is a true one-of-a-kind. To begin, this is a rare 1932 Chevy 3-window coupe with its original steel body. When is the last time you saw one of these? You have to go through a lot of Fords before you can find one, due in part to the amount of wood Chevrolet used in their construction. But neat as a 1932 Chevy may be, that's just the starting point of this car.
What you are seeing is a 1000+ HP street rod that is fully proven and well sorted out, not to mention fast (8.80 @ 153 mph in the quarter mile). That 1932 body now sits on a chrome-moly frame that is more suitable for the power this car generates. The car has been chopped to give it a more streamlined look, and also has a professionally built cage that nicely follows the contour of the cabin. I especially like how the engine looks like a beast kept behind bars.
Speaking of that engine, it displaces 565 cubic inches (4.6" bore, 4.25" stroke) and is loaded with the best of parts. The block is a tall deck GM race piece and contains a Crower crankshaft, Ross pistons, Ultradyne camshaft (0.710" lift), and Isky needleless roller lifters. Heads are Dart Big Chief aluminum pieces with Jessel rockers. There is also a Dart tunnel manifold topped by dual Holley 1150 Dominators from Bigs. Other goodies include an Accusump oil accumulator, 2-piece aluminum oil pan, and Titan adjustable oil pump. Ignition is all MSD with a Digital-7 ignition with adjustable timing, HVC coil, crank trigger, and front belt drive distributor. Finally, there is a Moroso crankcase vacuum system, Jessel belt drive, ATI damper, and Race Pump mechanical fuel pump with bypass regulator. Even with a compression ratio of 11.24:1, the tune and aluminum heads allow the use of pump gas.
Behind the monster power plant is a built TH400 transmission with scatter shield, ceramic clutches, reverse manual valve body, and a trans brake. The torque converter has a 4,000 rpm stall speed. There is also a Moroso aluminum deep transmission pan and dual transmission coolers. Control is provided through a Turbo Action Cheetah SCS shifter. Out back is a built Ford 9" that presently houses a Strange center section with 3.72 gears and a spool, along with Mark Williams axles.
Brakes are discs all around, with JFZ in front and Mark Williams in back. A line lock is also present. Front suspension uses a solid axle with 4-link setup. Everything has been chrome plated, including the steering components, headlights, and shocks. It all looks great! Rear suspension is a fully adjustable 4-link with Koni coilovers. Wheelie bars are also included (as is a window net). A fuel cell is located in the trunk. Exhaust is a full 4" ceramic coated system with cutouts (the car absolutely roars with these open).
The interior is done with black seat covers, carpeting, door panels, and flamed headliner. The dash and cage are the same yellow as the rest of the car. There is a tilt steering column (which is essential for getting in and out of a car like this) along with a stereo. The car even has power windows! A full set of gauges is present, including a GPS speedometer, Auto Meter Cobalt g-meter, Auto Meter Ultimate playback tachometer, and knock sensor.
There are many superlatives to describe this Chevy. It's a riot just to look at, while driving it is like nothing else. It draws a crowd everywhere; people will pull alongside on the highway to try and take pictures. But that's how it is when you're one-of-a-kind.
