B.R.A.K.E.S (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and our mission is to raise awareness among both teenagers and their parents about the importance of safe and responsible driving.
After loosing my two sons in a tragic car accident in 2008, I learned that over 6,000 teens are killed each year in car accidents. I want to do everything in my power to lessen that number and I hope that you will join me in this mission.
B.R.A.K.E.S. will soon be holding our 2nd Annual B.R.A.K.E.S. Benefit Dinner at the Speedway Club at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on September 17, 2009. We will also be holding a live and silent auction at the event and we are asking for a donation of your product(s)/services(s). All proceeds raised from the auction will be used towards our B.R.A.K.E.S. Teen Pro-Active Driving School. This course puts teenage driver’s behind-the-wheel to provide them hands-on training. By making each participant a better driver, the course will prevent accidents and save lives. The school is free of charge to all participants so no teenager is denied the opportunity to become a better prepared driver. Your contribution has helped make that possible.
To participate, call Stacy Ellis at 704-732-8950 or email [email protected]. Please indicate the item(s) you wish to donate. We will use this information for advance promotion, as well as to credit you as a supporter. Please feel free to be creative with your donations. Some examples of items we have received in the past include: autographed sports memorabilia, artwork, jewelry, weekend trips and gift certificates. All items are tax deductible; upon receiving your item, a thank you letter will be sent to you including the fair market value and the tax id number.
Thank you in advance for your generous support!
